Witton Albion vs Solihull Moors (FA Cup Fourth Qualifying Round).

Witton prepare for their biggest cup tie since the 2011/12 season on Saturday afternoon when they welcome National League Solihull Moors to Wincham Park in the Fourth Qualifying Round of the Emirates FA Challenge Cup. The Moors are enjoying an excellent league campaign so far and find themselves fifth in the top tier of Non-League’s pyramid system but games against higher-ranked opposition twice already in the competition have seen Witton progress to this stage. The Midlands club were close to being relegated last season but managed to survive and now under the guidance of former Blackburn Rovers, Southampton & England Goalkeeper Tim Flowers, have found themselves in a better position. The tie is Moors first game in this season’s competition being exempt until the final qualifying stage so they will be wanting to make the first round stage and hopefully, draw a club from the English Football League. Witton obviously go into the game as underdogs and rightly so based on league standings but, how many times have the team raised themselves to a greater level when it was most needed and who’s to say they can’t reach those levels again. The players & management team have done a fantastic job in getting us to this stage already and they will be ready for the challenge which faces them and Solihull Moors will know they have been in a game, whatever the result on Saturday afternoon. If Witton perform to their capabilities anything is possible but it will be a tough test. Kick off at Wincham Park is 3pm.

Big game this and I am really hoping we can pull off a shock result and win this one. The players always up their game for these matches, so we can do it. But we need all the support we can get, so every Witton fan who can make it should get to the game and be that 12th man. UTA

Yeah agree, tough one this. One win away from the 1st round, let’s get as many people down as we can and get behind the lads. Could be a day to remember, let’s make some noise… UTA

The very best of luck to all the players today, tough tough game but its the FA cup so lets give it our best UTA
