Witton Albion vs Spalding Utd 13th March

Fair point Robbo,it does appear that we rely on other teams to get the promotion jitters. It is a very demanding run in but apart from Mickleover nobody else is staking their claim. This fact could work in our favour.

It will be a shame if we fall short because i have really enjoyed the quality and style of football we have played.Any team that has flair players in the same class as Maylett,Heler,Tandy,Foster and Moseley deserve some sort of rewards.

I admire Gary’s footballing principles ahead of one of our play-off contenders. If we do fall short at least we can look at ourselves in the mirror.

We have played 11 games in 2010, 7 at home and 4 away, out of these 11 we have only managed to win 4.

We will not make the play-offs, too many suspensions, squad too thin, lack of discipline and little cohesion. That does not mean that I won’t get behind the players every week and cheer them on in hope. I would love to be proved wrong.

The problem is that out of the 31 league games and 14 cup games played this season you can count the convincing performances on one hand!

Whilst i agree with you Mario on us having some fantastic footballers - such as Heler, Tandy, Maylett - I can’t agree with your comment on being able to look ourselves in the mirror.

If those above-named players can honestly say they have given their all in each game they have played, then fair enough. But i haven’t seen it.

Agree totally with Rabbit; i can only count a handful of convincing performances.

I can’t comment on Mickleover, as we are yet to see them play, but from what i have seen of Sheffield and Chasetown i wouldn’t say our style of football is any more favorable than either of those sides. The difference being, they are sat in the play off places.

You are spot on Rabbit.
Being a true supporter means still turning up and supporting the team in the face of various adversities.
Whatever the issues there are 3 very important points up for grabs.
Whatever anyone’s concerns and criticisms may be from 3pm Saturday we should all be united in the common cause, success for Witton Albion.

Ye of little faith - we will beat Splading and Rushall as well.

Agggggghhhhhhhhh for days on end at home at work various browsers cache cleared, then I get on just now, start reading posts, then it starts doing it again, it’ll probably do it when I click submit in a sec, I’m sick of it!!

Oh it didn’t, f**k me sideways!

ANYWAY come on the Albs this aft a win would be great, I can only remember two poor performances, one of which was last Saturday with a makeshift team devastated by injuries and suspensions. Thin squad? we can only AFFORD a thin squad! COME ON ALBIOOOON!!

In Paris with my son Chris and grandson, James. We will be on here hoping for good news in the next few hours. No team has dominated this league and I do not think that will change over the next 8 weeks. If we get 20 plus points in that time I think we will be in the play offs, better than that and we could still win the damn thing!
WHS.

should win today but we thought we would win last week . gate will be down and will be interesting to see what team we can put out . Ever the optimist Ill go for 3-1 win because we cant keep a clean sheet .

Mickleover are 17 points ahead of us at the top WHS so chances of winning this have gone, sure we play them home and away before the end of the month but I think they are out of our sight. They are also 11 points clear of Glapwell in second so they are starting to pull away.

At this stage of proceedings I would be very happy with 5th place, it’s about time we sneaked into the play-offs and went through with a 90th minute own goal or a miss-hit fluke!
