Witton look to progress to the Third Qualifying Round of the Emirates FA Challenge Cup on Saturday afternoon when they welcome Vanarama League North Spennymoor Town to Wincham Park in a Second Qualifying Round fixture. The two clubs have met before in the competition and ironically, it was at the same stage back in 2011 when Witton overcame their opponents 3-1 in a tie also played at Wincham Park. Witton haven’t progressed that far since and face a difficult test against a team currently fifth in their respective league and having won four of their last five games. Witton will look to continue their recent good form and will be aiming to progress further in the competition as they look to put a run together. The financial incentives have improved greatly in the competition but the main objective will be to try and overcome strong opponents and the cup has a habit of providing surprises. So Witton will be looking to put on a performance and who knows what can happen on the day. Should the game be drawn, the replay is scheduled to take place at Spennymoor 's Brewery Field ground at 7.45pm on Tuesday night. Kick off at Wincham Park is 3pm.
