Beaten but not disgraced.

Decidedly scruffy winning goal for Stafford but unfortunately five defeats on the bounce for Witton in March tells its own story.

The story of our season unfortunately.

Since we beat Whitby Town away on 9th October, we’ve won only four out of 23 games in all competitions and not won at home for 12 games since we beat Atherton Collieries. Nothing much goes for you when you’re down at the bottom and struggling.

Stood toe to toe with a team in 8th place not a classic but unarguably deserved a point. Should it have been a foul on the young debutant leading up to the goal? YES in my opinion but when your luck is out you don’t get those decisions.

A decent battling performance plenty of effort but precious few chances, and 11 men back defending when 1-0 down this mgr never learns does he.

Have to take issue with a certain element! I thought we were a lot brighter (not only the strip ), everyone put a shift in.

I don’t think we were ultra-defensive, as suggested! At last our ‘‘Pogba’’ got forward, never seen him run so much! If we had played like that all season, we would not be where we are.

Fans moan about Greg, so Carl has got a real good 'un albeit on loan, likewise with the young centre - back, so he is trying to get players. Even Ryan Lowe was there keeping tabs on his young centre-back, so he must rate him to keep an eye on his progress!

To sum up, we at least deserved a point. Their players could not believe the standard of our lads! Amen.

Swampy, a good post & we were certainly worth a point. The young keeper made 1 mistake and on other social media gets crucified by so called fans, the young centre half did well and I’m sure they will both do well tomorrow v Buxton.

Carl is always trying to get better players but so is everyone else. Positivity needed this next month not negativity!
