Witton look to get back to winning ways on Saturday afternoon when they welcome Stafford Rangers to The NetDec Stadium in an Evo-Stik Premier Division fixture. Following Thursday’s draw at Farsley Celtic a game Albion deserved to win, achieving a Play off spot has become more difficult but still not impossible. Rangers arrive in Cheshire in fourteenth place in the table and in the knowledge that Manager Neil Kitching’s tenure will end once the season finishes. They have struggled for consistency this season and Witton will be hoping to continue the impressive home form which has seen them win five of their last six games in front of their own fans. The fixture also gives Witton the chance to complete the double over their opponents, following a comfortable 4-0 win at Marston Road earlier in the season. With Rob Hopley and Steven Tames in a rich vein of form for the Albion, the visitors are likely to have their hands full but then Stafford will look to pose problems of their own for the Witton defence. Under normal circumstances, a draw at Farsley would’ve been an excellent point but games are running out and the prospect of the play offs is a more difficult one. It has to start with three points from this fixture and who knows, things can still happen but either way it has been a fantastic effort so far. Kick off at The NetDec Stadium is 3pm.
