Witton Albion vs Stalybridge Celtic (FAC.2Q).

Back in England tomorrow, see you all on Saturday.ONWARDS AND UPWARDS.
WHS.

Best of luck tomorrow, you have every chance of being in the next round. Play your own game, get the early goal and fingers crossed for a decent ref!

Saturday sees Witton on the Wembley - trail again as they take a break from league action. We welcome Vanarama National League North side Stalybridge Celtic to The NetDec Stadium in the Second Qualifying Round of The Emirates FA Challenge Cup. Witton have a very good record in the competition over previous meetings, having won each of the last four encounters between the two clubs but previous games count for nothing. Stalybridge have endured a difficult season to date but are now under new management, following the recent appointments of Paul Phllips and Steve Halford, who worked together at neighbours Ashton United. As with a lot of management changes at clubs, there is always movement of players known to them and Stalybridge have brought four players across from Ashton although two of them are ineligible for the game having played in the previous round for their former club. Witton will be looking to progress further in the competition as the financial incentives get markedly steeper for clubs in the later qualifying rounds. Stalybridge will pose a difficult test for Witton as new managers often get a reaction from their players, wanting to stake a claim in the team. Kick off at The NetDec Stadium is 3pm.

Early Witton team news: Witton welcome back midfielder Billy Reeves on a 28 day loan from Port Vale. Midfielder Bradley Bauress returns after missing last Saturday’s draw at Romulus and Paul Williams is hopeful of featuring. Karl Noon is unavailable whilst teenage striker Tolani Omotola is injured.

Sad Tomali is missing, exciting young talent. Great to see Reeves back though. ONWARD AND UPWARDS! :clap :clap :clap
WHS. (Or Tit to my friends!)

Really looking forward to this game, if we play as we have been playing then we can go into the next round, and go on a long overdue fa cup run and get to meet football league opposition and the glory that involves. This team is capable of doing this, so all Witton fans should make the effort and get down to watch the game. Brilliant to have Billy Reeves for another spell, he was excellent for us when he was with us for a spell last season. Welcome back B
Come on boys you can do it. UTA
