Witton Albion vs Stalybridge Celtic (PSF)

Witton continue their pre season campaign on Saturday afternoon when they welcome Stalybridge Celtic to the U Lock It Stadium.

Like Witton, Celtic have appointed a new manager in recent weeks with Chris Willcock taking the reins at Bower Fold and have also brought in a number of new signings including former Albion goalkeeper Greg Hall.

Stalybridge’s last outing saw them beaten 2-1 by Morecambe so they will take some positives from that narrow defeat into the weekend’s game.

Witton kicked off the pre season campaign with a 1-1 draw at neighbours Barnton and then followed it in midweek with defeat to a strong Barrow side, losing 4-1 but the management team saw plenty of things during the game that they can work on in the coming weeks.

Stalybridge will provide another test for Jon Macken’s new look squad but Albion will hope to pose some problems of their own as pre season gathers pace.

Kick off at the U Lock It Stadium is 3pm.
