Witton Albion vs Stalybridge Celtic.

Witton welcome Stalybridge Celtic to The NetDec Stadium on Tuesday evening in an Evo-Stik Premier Division fixture, following three successive away games which heralded six points. Celtic have found life tough in the Evo-Stik League following their relegation from the Vanarama National League North at the end of last season. They arrive at The NetDec Stadium in 23rd place in the league, having won only twice in their first nine outings, and pointless on the road having lost four on the run away from Bower Fold. They have also exited the Emirates FA Challenge Cup at the weekend going down 3-1 at home to National League North Chorley. The fixture represents the first league meeting between the two clubs in quite a while due to being at different levels of the non league pyramid. The last competitive meeting was only last season with Stalybridge halting Witton’s FA Trophy run following a replay which was eventually staged at Seel Park the home of Mossley AFC. Witton will be looking to return to winning ways after the reverse at in-form Coalville Town on Saturday, a result although disappointing didn’t do too much harm to their challenge at the top of the league table. Stalybridge will be hoping to improve on their present form and will not be an easy touch. Kick off at The NetDec Stadium is 7.45pm.

Looking forward to the game and seeing Witton get back to winning ways after our first away defeat of the season. I sense that Witton will bounce back after Saturday’s defeat, as they usually do. This team does not dwell on defeats but just get on with the next game. Let’s hope for a good crowd to generate a good atmosphere. UTA

See you all tonight. I will be in the club before the match with the last few books so if you want one better get one soon. I am not too good to be honest, had Shingles and God! they are no fun!
