Witton Albion vs Stamford AFC.

Witton welcome Stamford AFC to The NetDec Stadium on Saturday in their penultimate “home” fixture in the Evo-Stik Division One South. Three league games to play and there is still an outside chance of the league title, however slim that chance might be. Witton have continued to battle throughout the season and the last three games of the regular season will not be any different. The narrow defeat at leaders Shaw Lane on Tuesday night has given the leaders the advantage but, they have slipped up before and they can slip up again. Whether Albion are able to take advantage of that only time will tell but what a fantastic season the team have given us to this point and it’s not over yet. Stamford come to The NetDec Stadium comfortably placed in the league with nothing really to play for except points, no danger of being relegated and well outside the play offs. Witton will be looking to finish the season on a high note and hoping to complete another double over their opponents, before going into the final week. Kick off at The NetDec Stadium is 3pm.

Come on Witton go for the win and hope that Shaw Lane slip up. It is still possible for us to win the league and until we cannot win it we should go for it. UTA

Totally agree and I am sure we will.

We have to go for a win until its impossible to win the title we should keep going, if we end up where we cannot ! then rest players and prepare our best for the playoffs, not going to bother with team selection as it would only cause adverse comment ! so just get down and support the lads today and enjoy the next 3-5 games UTA

Simmo was pretty much saying the same on the NPL Show.

It makes sense to us standing on the sidelines but I wonder if the players and the manager agree that resting the players if we are in the playoffs is the right thing to do. His and their decision.
