Sunday’s Cheshire Women’s Youth League Premier Division fixture at home to Congleton Town Women on Sunday, will not be played at the U Lock It Stadium due to minor damage caused by the weather.
Provision has been set aside for the fixture to be played at Moss Farm 3G but this is dependent on whether changing room facilities are available.
Witton Albion Women play their first Cheshire Women’s Youth League Premier Division home game on Sunday afternoon when they welcome Congleton Town Women.
The two teams met only last Sunday at Congleton High School and fought out a very competitive game which finished all square at 1-1.
Midfielder Natalie Chapman scored for the Albion inside two minutes but Congleton equalised on the half hour to share the points.
Witton have a much changed look to them this season but the early signs have given cause for optimism but it will take time for them to gel.
They will be looking to pick up their first win of the season but they face a tough test.
The game is being played at Moss Farm due to minor damage at the U Lock It Stadium caused by the recent storm.
Witton regain the lead following a scramble - after Congleton Town’s goalkeeper tipped Natalie Chapman’s free-kick onto the crossbar. Players followed up and possibly Jennifer Thompson got the final touch.
