Witton Albion Women look to extend their unbeaten run to nine games on Sunday afternoon when they welcome Middlewich Town Women in a Cheshire Women’s Youth League Championship West fixture.
Middlewich Town Women have only played five league games so far and have lost both of their away fixtures going into the weekend.
Witton Albion Women returned to the top of the table in fine style last weekend beating Frodsham Women 4-1 helped by a hat-trick from striker Aimee Gibson, who has been in excellent form so far.
The progress the team has made and is continuing to do so is very evident and with playing together things can only go from strength to strength.
Middlewich Town will make things difficult for Albion and nothing can be taken for granted, hard work and determination as always are vital components to enable the run to keep going.
The last home fixture against Winsford Town Ladies started well for the team but sadly, the weather had the final say as the game was halted at half time.
One positive for the team was the excellent attendance at the game, the support is growing by the week and we can only hope that continues.
