Witton Albion Women v. Sandbach United Ladies

Witton Albion Women’s team continue their Cheshire Women’s & Youth League Championship West campaign on Sunday afternoon, when they welcome league leaders Sandbach United Ladies to the U Lock It Stadium.

Last Sunday saw the team continue their unbeaten run with a hard-earned victory at Vauxhall Motors Ladies with goals from Jennifer Thompson and Kat Hulme, in a game where both teams created a number of chances.

Sandbach United Ladies have performed well since the start of the season, but suffered a surprise 5-2 home defeat against second placed Frodsham Juniors last weekend.

The two teams did meet in a pre season friendly and produced a decent game at the U Lock It Stadium which finished 2-2 with Kat Hulme and Aimee Gibson on target for the Albion.

Witton will be hoping to continue their current form but a tough game is in prospect.

Kick off at the U Lock It Stadium is 2pm.
