Witton Albion Youth vs AFC Darwen Youth.

Witton Albion Youth Team are at home on Sunday afternoon when they welcome AFC Darwen in a North West Youth Alliance fixture. The youngsters began the season well winning their first two fixtures of the campaign, including a 4-goal success again today’s opponents in the reverse meeting earlier in the season. Form has dropped off a little in recent weeks partly due to inactivity and also a couple of tough fixtures but, they will be looking to pick up again against the struggling Lancashire side who have found it hard-going so far but have only played four league games to date. The fixture is being played at Moss Farm on the enclosed pitch with a 2.30pm kick off.

Witton’s Youth team completed the double over their Lancashire opponents in a closely - fought game at Moss Farm on Sunday afternoon, a result which sees them rise to fifth in the First Division table.

The sides went in level at the break, Finlay Hutton on target for Witton. The winning goal came with 20 minutes to go courtesy of a stunning strike from Joe Salter, firing home from around 20 yards.
