Witton Albion Youth vs Atherton Town AFC Youth.

Witton’s Youth team welcome league leaders Atherton Town AFC Youth in a North West Youth Alliance fixture on Sunday afternoon. Atherton are currently unbeaten in the First Division having won seven out of their eight games so far this season. The two clubs met as recently as three weeks ago at Atherton Town, with the home side coming out on top with a 3-0 win so will be looking to complete the double over Witton this afternoon. The reverse fixture was actually the last time that Witton’s Youth team played as they had a blank weekend which was then followed by last week’s game at AFC Darwen being postponed because of a waterlogged pitch. The team will be wanting to get playing again and will be looking to impose themselves on the game against a very strong team but anything can happen on the day. Kick off at Moss Farm is 2pm.
