Witton’s Youth team are in action on Sunday afternoon when they welcome Egerton FC in a North West Youth Alliance fixture. The youngsters have experienced an upturn in their fortunes in recent games, having won three out of their last five league matches. However, they have been inactive since they were beaten by this afternoon’s opponents some three weeks ago. Egerton have an eight point cushion going into the weekend fixtures and they also have two games in hand. So the game is vital for both teams as they look to climb the table. Egerton will go into the game with confidence and with the opportunity to complete the double over Witton but the Albion youngsters will also be confident of imposing themselves on the game following their recent improvement. The game is being played at Congleton High School with a 2.30pm kick off.
