Witton v Frickley

I don’t know what the possibilities are but what a fantastic signing Junior Brown would be for us, he’s got good control, he beats his man, can cross a ball and can even play at the back, lovely hair too !!!
Stroke of genius on JV’s part getting him on board for the run in.

I’ve got to own up I do moan and grumble when a player or players make a mistake but its always just in discussion with those around me! I invariably follow it up by shouting encouragement to the offending player along the lines of forget it and keep going you’ll come good or something like that. Bit two faced I know but I would never verbally abuse any of our players from the terraces and any conversational comments I have with fellow fans is just that and its done in sheer frustation because I want us to do well.
I went over the top a little last night with the referee and linesman because they were just making some totally ridiculous decisions but again it was not really abusive, just stuff like your a joke referee or your ruddy hopeless early shower mate.
So what I’m saying is I never abuse our players and occasionally I do have a go at refs but not in a four letter word or threatening kind of way. Apologies to those poor people around me who have spent the last fifty years listening to me rambling on and especially WHS who has made a good point!!
On last nights game we were clinically efficient and just totally dominated Frickley. I thought we really played well as a unit tackling, marking and covering each other so a great team effort. I predicted that in the second half they’d cut up rough and they seemed to try that for a few minutes but then seemed to quiet down when the ref booked some of them.Frickley are a great advert for this league aren’t they! Even the goalie was wasting time 2 nil down in the 70th minute as if he was trying to keep the score down.
So on to Ferriby that lovely village overlooking the Humber Bridge. I think the Macca at full back experiment might not work here as they have fast forwards from memory. I think Junior might have to play there for us if Kerns or Coo are still out. No disrespect to Macca, he’s great but he’s not the quickest if a fast tricky winger is playing. However I suppose if Junior played in front of him he could cover. We will be going their confident but I hope not complacent and if we get 3 points its a giant step.
No disrespect but lets hope Fleetwood can only manage a draw as I’d like to be relaxed for our last game of the season. As I’ve said before whatever happens thanks to Management, players, fans and not least unpaid helpers and to that very special person MR WITTON himself “Pritch” for probably what has been the most enjoyable season I’ve had in fifty years of supporting the club. The cameraderia, the feeling that everyone has been united in their support and just for the fact our little club is the best in the land it’s been great lets get up and take the next league by storm too!! Red Army! Red Army!! Get in there!!

well done to everyone who helped with the pitch to get the game on.
Anyone else think:- Junior 3 starts 3 MoM?

MONA you were not the one I was talking about, the three I was talikng about were stood on their own and never cheered on the team at all as far as I could see, just moaned and spouted insults.

WHS, do you accept now that Witton aren’t ‘cursed’ when you attend matches?!

Don’t really know what to put about one of the most ridiculous posts I’ve ever read, see for yourselves!

I am glad to say that this was my 1st Frickley away match. To say that they are top of the table, their fans can’t half moan. God, you would think that they got seen off every week. As for myself, I think that I managed to outsing the 400+ home crowd for large periods of the second half with a chorus of “Billy Heaths blue and white army”. Don’t know if you could hear it on the net but I know Billy could.

Anyway, well done to the boys for a good effort on a dreadful pitch. They said it was playable, I beg to differ. Glad it went ahead though, thoroughly good night out!!!

Don’t think many teams enjoy playing against thugs like Frickley!

Got the impression from one of the other Frickley fans who spoke to me that they consider the guy in question to be not quite a full shilling. Can’t fault his efforts though!

He certainly didn’t let the road-works put him off anyway

I know you were n’t having a go at me WHS but yes I know I do moan and thats why my Monica is Mona on here (pardon the Pun), but wanted to make it clear I never shout out my moans to the player just keep it in the group around me. I’m glad your back watching by the way WHS. I know you think your a jinx but you’d be an even bigger one if you stayed away so keep attending as your £9 is definately contributing to the cause and whatever is said we are all Wittoners and its a democratic right to express an opinion even if sometimes not everyone is in agreement!!
While I’ve still got the bit between my teeth wouldn’t it be ironic if on the last day of the season Cambridge won and the Green Slime were relegated.Ironic because Cambridge are of course managed by a certain James Quinn who had something to do with Northwich Vics pre 2004!! Rubs his hands in hopeful anticipation!!

I’ll admit it only when we win on the fianl day to go up into the Conference. And when we do I will buy a season ticket for next year!!!
