GREAT RESULT, simple as that!
That was Adams most important goal so far. Great result.
The cods have won it 4 or 5 times, lets wrap it up in the next week! Come on the Albs!
Very very happy and relieved after that. Guiseley worked us hard and credit especially to their keeper and for the way he acted at the final whistle.
Massive win on paper - time to turn the crew on Tuesday.
Re the cup finals - this kind of debate only becomes an issue when you get bad weather - I dont remember a pitch inspection in Oct/Nov/Dec then we have one in the middle of April after Easter! Folks you can’t do anything with the weather!
The club makes money on hiring the pitch out, lets not query that now! We’re nearly there now, the cods must be gutted that we won today. They scraped a victory, if we win on Tues and then against Ferriby there will be no way back for the fishy people.
RED ARMY!!!
Well done Jim and the Lads.
Warlow beat Skiba, thats what counts.
They were one of our biggest tests at home this season and we triumphed.
Only 3 to win now.
It’s in our hands.
We can do it.
Goal now on the witton albion fc website

Sketchman,at 17 my only knowledge of sex was a quick fumble that inavriably led nowhere, at least I got to a “Cup Final” at Football!!! And we won!!
WHS
Good entertainment yesterday, my nerves are shredded though. Adam and Rod worked tirelessly all afternoon, and Adam certainly merited his goal. Skiba is a great keeper, I’m sick of the sight of him. Guisleley were a good strong efficient team and it’s all credit to the lads for keeping a clean sheet. Maybe the nerves are beginning to have an effect on the players, although they didn’t show it too much yesterday. Three more wins please lads ! Onwards and upwards.
Come on WITTTEEEEERRRRRRNNNNNN !
First things first a great win by the lads on Saturday and also a great atmosphere in the ground.
My lad has been a lifelong supporter of witton and is one of the few amoungst his mates that always looks for the witton result before liverpools or uniteds etc.
I was going to be the proudest dad in the world on Sunday when he came running out of the tunnel to play on the pitch at witton, we had really tried to make a big day for them and had bought 15 ties in the witton colours they were all getting dressed up and we had hired a coach to bring them all to the ground, as you can imagine the fact that they are Witton Juniors in the final at wincham park made the day so special, however knowing how the pitch can cut up I have been warning him all week it may not happen:( on arriving at the ground and knowing that the game on tuesday needed to happen it became obvious that the games would be off, never mind it will be posponed, but now it looks like the games will be played at seddon street instead, I know you cant help the weather and I know that if the pitch had been playable it would have gone ahead but there were at least 14 very dissapointed little wittoners on sunday morning. The only way I see to make them smile again is to win our remaining matches and get that title
Come on Witton:laugh:
Gutted for your lad and his team mates Sigi - hope they can go on and win their trophy and make it a Witton double !
Post on here when its rearranged for and maybe we can all go along and support them.
P.S. Fantastic Win for the 1st Team on Saturday!
Likewise dissapointed for the kids, hope conditions improve for any future scheduled games.
On the match you could see the nerves jangling in our play. There is so much at stake here and its beginning to show though Junior seemed unaffected by it and was in my opinion the best player on the park with the two goalies a close second. The lads worked hard and Adam’s strike was probably better than any goal in the Premier league this weekend. I hope we don’t meet up with their goalie too often he really takes some beating!! This was a brillant result not least because I believe the Guiseley budget is twice ours and Fleetwoods is a lot higher than ours too.
We just have to keep going and Jim has the belief and we have to have the same and get behind the lads and cheer them on. It was great an Saturday but we do need to make even more noise. I see the game at Ferriby as probably our toughestleft. They have very quick forwards so we need to be on the alert and close down the supply to them quickly. They are all tough games though, but we know what we have to do. Just 270 more minutes plus injury time and hope fully we’re there.
Whatever happens this has been a great season and thanks to Jim Nige and all the players for providing supreme entertaining football. Lets just have the icing on the cake and go up C’mon lads one last push for the championship!
Re the U11’s.
The team has been invited for a team meal prior to the final home league game which was meant to be an extra day out at Wincham Park for them - unfortunatley it may be the only one for them this season now.
Hopefully it will in someway make up for the cancellation.
