I’ll be back for the celebrations (fingers crossed) at the Worksop game - planning a week off work for a seven day drinking session! Best make it 2 weeks though to include recovery time!
I would much rather be at Ferriby but will have to cope with Calzaghe at the Thomas & Mack as a second choice!!!
IT was nice to hear a song from the side for once, even if it did only last 2 seconds. junior Brown MoM for me. Anyone know how serious kearns injury is?
What a load of rubbish. Jim is clueless, and every single player should be ashamed of themselves. Pritch didn’t even bother jumping for the header he scored. Such a lack of effort is unforgivable.
I was so disgusted by our failure to score 10 goals that i left with 20 minutes remaining. But not before i found the time to walk behind the dug-out and tell Jim just how incompetant i think he is.
1 game does not define a season, so for all those people thinking we are championship contenders on the back of 1 lucky win in conditions that clearly suit kick and rush sides such as ourselves, then you should all just get your heads out of the clouds and come back to reality.
Adam scuffed at least 2 of his goals, and the other was an intended pass i am sure. How anyone can come on here praising him is beyond me. Apart from scoring 3 goals, can anyone tell me if he made any real contribution on Saturday?! And JK - ok he may not of conceded many this season, but can anyone remember the last time he actually scored?! No! At least Worsnop got us a goal last season. Cleary Milly’s coaching is not what it should be.
And this Junior Brown lad… Well ok, he scored and was excellent all afternoon, but he wont do for us. He’s too small, and wont win anything in the air.
And dont get me started on Nige Deeley. What’s he ever brought to this club apart from a big presence in the showers?!
I will not be back at Wincham Park until i see drastic changes.
Excellent boys, well done. See you all in a fortnight.
ps - i hope those who criticised JV last week were in the bar apologising to him on Saturday. I saw Stu in there after the game, so we must of played well!!!
Appreciate what you are trying to do here Robbo to raise morale and give everyone a lift and thats good mate.
My view is this and its quite simple we have 4 games left and need to win them all so not giving a monkey’s how Fleetwood do! The ball in very much in our own court and I hope and I’m sure Jim will pick a team that will play to the pattern that has got us where we are now i.e the 4-4-2 system. If we attack the remaining games like we have all season we will win the four games as teams can’t live with us when we play to our strengths. Our strengths are that we have a great all round team but we can’t just sit back like I think we tried to do against Fleetwood. I still think we could have beat them with the right formation but no good dwelling on this learn and move on.I think new signing Junior will have a big part to play and I think this is brilliant by Jim because he’s brought him in and on Saturday’s showing seems to have galvanised the rest of the lads. Pity really we’ve got the break because I’m sure our lads would have loved to have played this Saturday while they are on a high from the Lincoln game.
Anyway whatever we can do this by playing our natural game and playing with out fear!! We are class and don’t need to fear anyone in this league thats why we’ve been top all season so lets finish this off now and go up!! C’mon the Albion even I’m Ziga Zaggering again now from the sidelines resurrecting the song made famous in the FA cup campaign of 1966! Big Chad will know what I mean!!
Mona, I reckon the most important thing was having a game so soon after the Fleetwood game. I know the lads were dying to get out on the pitch and ‘right the wrongs’ and they certainly did that!
This break is not ideal but it should mean that the whole squad are fresh to take on the last 4 games. I fully agree with you that we will probably need to win all 4 games but having seen Fleetwood last night, I’m not so sure that they’ll win all 6 of theirs!
No problem Greg if you saw them last night and think the CODS might drop a point or two thats great. Its just that like everyone else I’m sat here helpless for the next few days watching the Cods play their games in hand. I need extra Blood pressure pills to supplement what I’m on already but its only the sitting around thats getting to me. Come Saturday 12th April my adrenalin will be flowing and I’ll be Zigger Zaggering my way to the club for a pint after the lads outplay Guiseley and obtain 3 more points!!Play without fear and our natural game and we can win all 4 and Fleetwood can organise themselves for the play offs!!
By the time we play Guiseley I think we will be 1pt ahead ( just hope I am wrong )so it’s down to the team who has got the bottle for it. Let’s hope it’s the Albion.
Just being realistic Robbo . Instead of going on a money wasting trip to Buxton u could have stayed in with the old man and watched the Mighty REDS beat Roma.
