It really saddens me when our own crowd get on the backs of our own players. Some of the abuse dished out is downright nasty and unjustfied in any circumstances.
Right now confidence must be rock bottom. Players need support not abuse during games or else we will definitely go down.
I would normally agree Knutsfordfonian, but there was a lack of effort on Tuesday night that was just unaccepatble from Professional players.

OK, get on the backs of players who don’t give 100%, but from supporters who were in ear shot, the abuse to the player was well well over the top.
Thankfully, the player did not over react, but just went over at the end of the match to inquire why he deserved such abuse.
When players, by their actions on the pitch incite disorder, they get fined (e.g Drogba). There should be the same when fans incite disorder, as this abuse could have easily resulted in a fae uglier climax.
I am not going to get into an argument whether or not the player was guilty of not giving 100% or not, that is the managers job, but to label all our players as not giving 100% is way off mark.

If the abuse was aimed at the player I thought it was then that player is definitely not the player we all thought he was and that for me has been one of the big dissappointments so far this season.

Whist I think some players deserved a bit of barracking for their lack of effort I must make it clear I did feel the comments made to a certain player were WAY OVER THE TOP. I can accept it when we are clearly outplayed by a better team, but not the lack of effort shown on Tuesday night by some players. (not all)and I voiced my thoughts quite loudly. The difference was my shouts were not of a personal nature and were not aimed at just one player.
