Least said soonest mended.

Well done Middlewich, would have been nice to play Vics for the final time but this has got to be our last appearance in this comp now Vics will no longer be playing in Mid Chehsire, lets just offer our Stadium FOC to host the Final each year.

FOC - don’t think so!
GE

I think that our manager summed this game up well towards the end of the official match report, in that many players had the opportunity to prove themselves in this game but sadly did not!!! SBL

I would have thought we should have had enough to beat Middlewich with the squad we had out, there was some big names still out there?? Did Middlewich have any good players themselves of interest??

Yes there keeper had a good game and definitely looked like he could step up a few levels. They countered quickly with some useful players going forward.

I think one of the problems with this comp (just one of them) is that they still play it under the old rules of a sending off is a 28 day ban so whos so going risk being banned for the rest of season? anyway like some said the lads that were picked didn’t really perform to their full potential but that dosen’t mean we should right them off, at least 2 that did play I really believe will be big players for this club in the future.

Oh and GE I just thought it might be an idea to offer FOC rather than pay the fine that the mis cheshire officials impose for us not playing and thus meaning they miss out on their yearly jollie up.

I agree, the competition is just a money spinner for the FA and there aren’t enough teams to make this into a decent strong competition with any worthwhile. The side that played last night is still young and as pointed out these are players that will gain experience and become the future of our club.

Good luck to Middlewich now would be great for them to take the cup…obviously a club that should be competing at a higher level i would have thought?

Good luck to middlewich, for us it seemed like we were not that interested, if we were even with that team out we should have won it to be honest and we had plenty of chances, for me the witches keeper and centre back looked ok, given how our season is im glad to be out and concentrate on our promotion push.
