Hopefully the influence of the other former Crewe lads will convince him to come to WP.
I personally think that there is no better midfield combination in this league than the one we already have (when all are playing).
Peers, Lloyd,Brown and Conners.
We have brought in a midfielder that likes to stick his foot in, in Ross Clegg and he has performed well.
I think we need a top goalscorer to put pressure on Griff and Warlow, IF they decide to stay.
The player we need to re-sign is John Kennedy. He has kept us in games towards the end of the season that a lesser keeper may have failed to do. If he had played from the start of the season i am in no doubt that we would have got automatic promotion this season. His boots will be the hardest to fill should he decide to move on, he is by far the best keeper we have had for a long time and by far the best in our league and would be a massive loss, the only keeper of note as a replacement would be the lad from Fleetwood.
I really think we have to move forward the team has been marvelous, but it did not get promoted so in terms of players I think we need a decent full back, eg left side then brownhill can play rightside and battle spearitt/hockenhull for right back, we need a proven striker to replace mike mossely if he goes, and a big mobile central midfielder who can put his foot in, plus a winger to support peers and connors for injuries (& suspensions in connors case ;D) we also need to keep the nucleus of other top performers from last season eg kennedy, pritch,barrass, lloyd, brown,kearney, jones etc. Id also like to see the team captain changed id give it to connors who id hope would respond well to the challenge and might help him curb his discipline issues.
However The biggest issue for me is giving Jim Vince a decent budget for next year (so that the fans help is a bonus to him) he has surely shown enough quality and improvement this year for the board to show faith in him, I know this has to be what the club can afford, but they also have to be supportive of Jim WE DO NOT WANT TO LOSE HIM he is after all the most important player we have. 
ps i do know the board work very hard as well - but a good mgr is likew gold dust and doesnt everyone think Jim Vince belongs at Witton
CJ (Colin) I agree whole heartdly with everything you say especially the Jim bit. That is the most important thing at the end of the day and I just hope that his partnership with Nigel will work. I’m a little unsure that it will, not because both guys are no good but because they are both similar types. I hope to be proven wrong. Quite honestly I’m with you on the fullback situation and would love to see Mike Bowler come back if he is’nt tied up with stockport. Unfortunately this might mean 3 or 4 of our established squad players finding other clubs to make way for the 2 or 3 quality signings we need. It’s not fair to mention names here as all our lads have been great and its down to Jim who will as always do his best for the club. I must emphasise here that we are only talking fine tuning the squad not wholesale changes. I agree about the John Kennedy situation and the guy who mentioned the Fleetwood goalkeeper Danny Hurst was spot on. In my opinion he is probably the best in the league!
I just hope that now a little time as gone by since Saturday that Jim is over the dissapointment of not getting promotion and is raring to go to get us up next time round!! Knowing him he will be, and I’d rate him in our top 5 managers already and he’s only had one full season!! The Sammy Powells, Ken Barnes, Brian Booths and Stan Allans are the other managers I’d rate but if Jim keeps it up he could be the best of that illustrious list because he is doing everything on a low budget!! This is meant to be a compliment as those managers I’ve mentioned would certainly do a better job that the present incumbent in charge of England is doing!!.
