Yes it was on - a fine display with the Albs winning 3 - 1 UTA
You never know how much to read into these games, but for 60 minutes we looked very impressive until multiple substitutions took their toll. I’m very impressed with the goalie and the trialist no 10, sign him please! There are still some issues at who plays alongside Ben, and wide left in midfield, otherwise it’s looking good. And we have mighty Titch and Dave Walker to return.
We saw again how important Powell can be today, but he got off the mark in more than one sense. In the 1970s his challenge would not even have been a free kick, but now anything remotely studs-up causes a mini riot. I thought the ref should at least have booked their no 4, if not had him substituted, but he bottled it.
But what a good game to send me off happy on my holidays, up the Albs for the next 3 friendlies ( actually wasn’t very friendly today , was it??)
I think those 2 positions are more than filled tbh!
