Witton v Wakefield

an awkward game played in awful conditions, but three points in the bag thanks to a gritty performance. we are now handily placed for a glorious run in, so let’s get down to the h4h stadium in numbers for the remaining home matches and cheer the lads on to promotion, which is no more than this squad deserves. come on witton.

Great gritty performance after we worked out that playing the ball in the air wasn’t the brightest thing to do 1st half.

Some good interplay and change of tactics 2nd half and we really could have won comfortably, thought Titch was very sharp on a day where he got no protection and a ridiculous booking.

A win is a win 3 points in the bag, not a pretty game or performance but in conditions like that who can complain, the start of a winning run hopefully to see if we can close the gap on the top 2.

Our gate of 302 was only topped in the whole Evo-Stik Leagues by Chasetown (who were playing FC United) Chester, Stafford, Buxton and Grantham so we are moving in the right direction. Gates of 400 plus would be nice though; come on you stay at home Wittoners, what Pritch and his team are serving up is “usually” excellent, they only have off days it seems when we get a big gate, probably because they aren’t used to them!! Come on down and let the team get used to seeing full terraces and they might even start playing well even then!! We can win the title this year, you don’t want to miss it surely?
WHS.

i was suprised at the gate tbh did not look 300 there, however if correct it is only what the team deserve, you never know we might be picking up a few more neutrals soon with only 1 club in northwich - i know the slimy greens have not gone bust yet but they will not be in the town for sure.
