Witton v Wakefield

Windy but sunny here at the HfH. Pitch looks fine although I’m sure it’ll be heavy after all the rain. Great work by the groundstaff yet again.

Team news to come when I have it, but if your reading this for updates on todays match - WHY AREN’T YOU HERE???

With all the goings on this week in football (not just over the canal but Darlington and Kettering as well), you need to get behind YOUR team as YOUR team needs YOU.

See you in an hour!!!

It is looking interesting, VERY interesting. Both sides above us have to come to the HfH.

I thought that we had played Flyde twice this year WHS? They won at Fylde and we won at Witton I think? Today was a hard fought game and a well earned 3 points. Wakefield came with a game plan and being fair to them it nearly worked. They got men behind the ball well enough but they didn’t have alot up front, which was just as well! An awful day for both playing and watching football. The weather really spoiled the game. Funny isn’t it Wakefield’s goalkeeper’s blatent time wasting in the first half turned out to be a complete waste of time. As they say on the Weakest link “You go home with nothing”. Third in the league now and looking good. Osset next week so lets have yet another good turn out!!! SBL

A great three points there for the Albs, complements to all the players of both teams for going out there in those utterly appalling conditions and giving it thier all!! Pathetic bookings by the ref there wasn’t a bad tackle or any malice in the game yet he still had to wave his card about, the idiot! Come on the Albioooooon!!

Really big result for us today. It was difficult for either side to play football in horrendous winds, although we had a lot of fun winding their keeper up in the first half!

I thought it was going to be another one of ‘those games’ until Sheehan popped up. Great finish too.

Happy with the gate aswell, I didn’t think there was many at all and was pleasantly surprised when it was announced. Up the Albs! B)

Sorry, I knew we had to play three of the top teams at home still, thought Fylde was one of them. Great result today and thoroughly deserved, everyone worked their socks off. What was the gate, 300?

Another frustrating game, very difficult conditions as has been said.

Well chuffed we got the 3 points, 4 wins on the bounce. Keep it up lads!
