Witton Vs Buxton

Couldn’t help noticing Buxton’s poor result on Saturday, loosing 5-0 to Gateshead.

OR was it a poor result!

Had they won, they would be facing a long trip north to Gateshead on Tuesday night, followed by another away trip on Saturday to the winners of the Witton vs Eastwood game.

Now they face a short trip away to us on Tuesday, and if they win, they will be at HOME on Saturday!

Do you think they deliberately threw the game. It would make sense!

Lets make sure that if they did do this deliberately, it comes back to bite them in a big way.

What would make Buxton be at home on Saturday if they won Jeff?

I thought the highest placed team kept home advantage?!

Thankyou for your support Fleetwood towner its good to know there are some of your lot that are decent human beings. Unfortunately that cant be said about some of your fans.
On saturday i was recieving texts from a guy who claimed to be an albion fan stuck at the airport trying desparately to get to the game, so thinking he was a fellow fan i exchanged texts and updated him throughout( he must have got my number from here). I recieve a text at full time from the same guy who turned out to be a member of the cod army. The scumbag was gloating. He also made out that some of them would be coming to the game on tuesday. The guy was insinuating that they were going to cause trouble. How seriously to take this idiot, i dont know. We are travelling in a big group on tuesday, but its just a warning to ALL fans travelling in small groups to the stadium, and also to make stewards aware some of these idiots could possibly be knocking about.
In regards to the football on saturday i cant begin to describe how dissapointed, frustrated, and annoyed i was.
However we need to forget about the whole season we have just had. We have one home match lads which is tomorrow… win it. Nothing previous to tuesday or anything that may happen after matters right now. Just go out and win your biggest match of the season tomorrow.

Hi Greg,

Sorry, I assummed the winners of 2nd v’s 5th would be at home on Saturday?

I stand corrected.

P.S,

How far did you get in the game you were playing when I left the Circus Casino last night? You were doing well when I left.

Jeff

It’s fantastic that Jim has come on here and posting his feelings on saturday! To my mind it realy shows how much he does actually care about Witton and getting us up this season. Whatever happens this season I hope Jim stays on for many a season and really creates a dynasty at this great club! Who would want to go to Southport anyway!

Tuesday night will be a tough game but we have done it twice before this season , just like Telford did to us last season. We know it can be done! The key us fans can play is to make as much noise as possible rattles, horns, drums, singing and chanting etc lets make sure we give their lads plenty of stick and put them under pressure! We can clap them and say well played when the game is over and Mark Harris is presenting the man of the match awards.
We really need to make it a hostile cauldron on Tuesday night and even if we go 1-0 nil down we need to keep up with the singing and shouting until the final whistle blows!

Also a bit of a pre match idea if possible, why not show the home game against Buxton over the christmas peiord (to my mind our best performance at home this season)in the club before the game when we overcame horrible conditions and fought our way to a 3-0 win! This might just remind fans and players alike of what can be achieved when we put our minds to it and when the odds are against us!

it really is great to have amanager with such passion for the club. long may he reign as lord and master at wincham park

Can i urge as many Witton fas as possible to make their way to the players tunnel just prior to kickoff in order to cheer the lads onto the pitch. If we can lift them enough for the game, then i’m sure that we will rip Buxton to shreads!!!

Second that lets give the lads the best possible support tonight
