Witton vs. Guiseley

This can’t come soon enough for me.
Any news on Ian Kearney’s fitness?

Liam will be rightback and j,Brown leftback

From what I gather, Kearns is struggling but could be fit. We have cover if necessary

hope not we need j. brown attacking further up the field

Not really. We’ve come this far without him!! If he’s required to play left back, then we’ve got Brodie or Rob Lloyd to come back in.

This is a bigger game than the Fleetwood one - let’s hope we are up for it - it’s a MUST WIN game. Plenty of singing required boys and girls.

Too be honest i wouldn’t be overly suprised if Fleetwood were top on Saturday evening. I wouldn’t be too deflated either, as i would expect us to regain top-spot on Tuesday night - and to stay there.

I think its a brilliant chance to pile the pressure on Fleetwood , we can see by there results that they are a bit flakey at times.
I feel also the supporters must vocally get behind the team . its been very good in recent years , but in my opinion (and I know Ill get critisized for saying it by some ) but its not intimidating enough. We should let the opposition know that they are away , give the opposing side some stick . every mistake they make etc. you dont have to resort to racial or family member abuse . as some non league supporters have done in recent weeks.
If its all banter ive seen it can rattle players.
Give the keeper stick , shout insults at the full backs tell em how rubbish they are , In your own words ofcourse !! but DEFINATELY draw the line at abuse to family and racial abuse.
And when we do go up , you will definately see what I mean when some of the larger clubs opposing supporters are doing exactly this . Its just a thought and observation. not really a critisizm

At this point in the season i think we’d see much more benefit in getting behind our own lads and not worrying about the opposition.

Well said robbo re: getting behind our own lads. But at the same time we dont want to think about Fleetwood being top on saturday. Its a must must must win game. The lads have had 2 weeks off so its no excuses, job needs to be done. Winning on saturday is one hand on the title, lets not forget theres a little game going on in Lincoln tomorrow which the cods MUST win to stay in touch.

On a seperate note i’ve heard through a source close to the player that Liam Brownhill is leaving Albion which is devastating if true, as he has been fantastic this season. Hopefully the guy has it wrong.

According to the player himself, he signed a new contract with the club last week!

Thank god for that then, this guy is working with my dad and told him his nephew plays for witton and was moving elsewhere, my dad doesnt follow witton so didnt take that much notice but said it was brown something. so i said it must be either brown or brownhill he was sure it was brownhill.

Cheers for that Greg, my dad had me worried there, the boy Liams a superstar and we definately need him in the conference north

I agree Robbo , just was lookin at a bigger picture. and Ive seen albion home and away for many years big crowds and small. The one example comes to mind was Colchester Utd away the away support that day was brill we out chanted a 4500 strong crowd . and gave stick to their defence. They did not like it one bit !you could tell they felt intimidated. 0-2 win for albion. Could go on and mention others , too many too mention. But ultimately its lettin the lads know your there and behind them 110% and if that includes being partizan and one eyed for 90 mins so be it.

Stu have you explained yet why this mathematically impossible, got a feeling of deja vu here!!!

:silly:

I do hope we are not knocked off the top spot by Saturday night, it could have a devastating effect on the moral of the team, not to mention the supporters!! Few clubs come back after losing the top spot this late in the season, remember Telford? look at Arsenal in the Premiership this year and Newcastle not so long ago. Let’s stay top from now until the and of the season, COME ON LINCOLN!!!
WHS.

Its in our own hands - no one else can say that.

The team have been fabulous all year and there is no reason that we cannot go on to win our remaining games. The one thing we must remain is positive on and off the pitch.

Get behind the team - even more so if things are not going our way. There is no point in letting fly at players during the game and destroying confidence. So all the moaners please keep quiet and let the supporters SUPPORT !!!

In an attempt to ensure the best possible atmosphere on Saturday, myself and Andy Chad are organising a ‘reverse away-day’. The ‘walking bus’ meets at the Thatched Tavern at 12pm and will depart from here at approx 12.30pm to head to another local watering hole.

We will be making a number of stop-offs along our route, finally arriving at Wincham Park at approx 2.45pm

If anybody would like to join our glorified pub crawl then please feel free. If you want to know where we are at a certain time on the day then just contact one of us and we’ll meet you.

Sounds like a plan, may I suggest as much red and white as possible?!

where is thatched tavern???

In Castle, by iron bridge.
