Witton vs. Lincoln

Let’s look forward not back.
I presume Rod will be back.
Will Cavell’s injury keep him out or should Kearney retain his place? I vote for IK.
At least after Monday we won’t take this top v. bottom clash as a foregone conclusion.
The lads will be eager to put things right and I’ll be there to support them every inch of the way.

Carnt make this game, im gutted:( . Lets get back to winning ways and make some noise for me, come on witton!!!

Cav was limping in the club after the game and I think he said they will know more on Thursday. Fortunately we’ve got Kearney who can come in and cover, but to be honest any injuries at this stage in the season are not good!

Saturday is a great chance to bounce back but we really shouldn’t underestimate Lincoln. They turned us over at the start of the season and are scrapping for points so will be giving it absolutely everything.

Think its safe to say that we’ll be going back to the tried and tested 4-4-2 with Thornley coming straight back into the starting 11. Now is the time that the players really need the fans. It’s easy to make a load of noise when we’re winning and destroying teams but after yesterdays defeat, the players will need our backing more than ever on Saturday. 8 points clear, 5 games left (4 of which are at home), and we’re entertaining the leagues bottom club on Saturday.

BRING IT ON!

I’d go for the side that has got us to where we are. If i was picking our best 11 players, i’d have Alex Brown in there every time - BUT i don’t think it’s worth the risk of unbalancing the side. Macca and Lloyd have worked well together all season, so, for me;

JK
IK TB BP LB
MP RL DM SB
AW RT

Dodger you will have to get your head up - have u seen the photo on the backpage of the Northwich Guardian ?

I think we should all be relieved that his face is hidden…

Being a Sandbach resident the NG doesn’t get this far south so if you’ve got a copy to show me I’ll see you on Saturday.
I can guess what you are referring to!! My despair was profound.
Thanks Robbo:)

if cav is fit, in my opinion this is are strongest team and the one that should start on saturday. sorry Tony but i honestly feel you are not good enough any more:ohmy: .

Great post Dodger, IK would definately should get the nod IMO
Lets show the team that we are still behind them 100% loud and proud

I thought the 4-5-1 worked quite well lol

I would go for Coo at right back if fit. I’m not sure which strike pairing i would go with this week, things may just need freshening up. Warlow hasnt scored in his last 6 games, while Rod hasn’t graced us with a goal in his last 7. I would contemplate giving Tony Evans a chance to start this week as he has been working hard when coming on in the last few. I would probably play him with Thornley as despite a lack of recent goals Rod all round is still looking to cause problems, whereas Warlow has just been looking lost recently. Warlow starting on the bench this week( then getting on for last 25-30 mins) may be the kick he needs to get back to his goalscoring best.

Come on the albs

and now ive said that Warlow will be starting and bag a hat trick, and i will look a mug

fingers crossed

Cav’s out for the rest of the season.

GE

Sad for him - he has been an excellent addition to our squad.

I tend to agree, although Cav has his critics, our defensive record is much better this season than last and he’s played his part in that.

Like i said against Fleetwood hope you win against Lincoln on saturday. My message wishing you good luck didn’t go down well with people on the unibond forum on nonleaguezone

Thanks again Tom for your wishes. Obviously this time mean’t far more in view of Town’s current plight. Reckon your team are leaving it mighty late this time around as of course your victories at Wincham Park the last two seasons were the catalyst to Town moving well out of the relegation zone.

All the best to Wayne, Oggie & Carl in particular in your bid for survival.

sorry the hear about cav, i think we will miss is speed. good luck with your injury cav.

What is the injury with Cav? anyone know?
