Hi, Sheenz has asked me to leave a few words on the forum for him.
I would like to thank everyone, supporters and playing staff for help and support during past few weeks, I’m gutted i couldn’t turn results and performances around despite making tough decisions which didn’t go to plan. I feel that this team needs a more experienced manager to get the best from them and for the good of the club and team I feel its best to let someone else undertake this challenge straight away. Ive been asked to stay on as a player which i would love to do as missing playing has been an issue, obviously dependent upon new manager and his thoughts.
Once again thank you and see you all soon at the ground.
Class act, and so pleased he is staying on as a player. We have unquestionably not performed as well without him on the pitch. Glad you are staying Sheens! UTA
All the best to you Sheenz, not your fault the players cant be bothered. Best wishes and glad you are staying to play. I hope the new man has a cull and sees how much you want to do well for us.
I think its really sad that we have come to this, I had high hopes that the continuity Sheens provided would see us move forwards. That said, Sheens has made a really brave decision for the good of the club and we need to thank him for that. He could have stuck with it for some time to come and that would have obviously left less time for any new incumbent to make his mark if results didn’t turn round.
Given we have just been through a selection process, I suspect there are still quite a few applicants from last time who would still wish to take on this role. Whoever it is, I hope they recognise the qualities that Sheens obviously has as both player and as a top bloke.
Probably the right decision by AS. Perhaps the players will show a bit of respect for the Club by ‘trying’ on Tuesday.
Anyway, I look forward to a fresh face soon. Enough of the ‘Witton family’ & ‘continuity’.
Fresh face, a leader, someone with a bit of fight & vocal from the touchline when we’re a goal down & not just accepting the inevitable.
We’ve lost enough games by heavy scores to last us till Xmas.
