Witton make the long trip up the M6 on Saturday when they travel to Workington AFC in an Evo-Stik Premier Division fixture. The Cumbrians have struggled for consistency so far this season and find themselves in 20th position in the table. Their home form has been steady with two wins and two draws but it has been away from Borough Park, where they have found difficulty and that is one of the main reasons they find themselves so low in the division. The Reds four league defeats have all been on the road and that is probably the reason for their current predicament. Witton have also struggled on the road this season having only picked up points at Whitby Town and North Ferriby United but they look to bounce back from Tuesday’s home defeat to Mickleover Sports. Workington is never an easy place to visit and Witton will be hoping to come away with a better result than their last visit, which saw their FA Trophy campaign last season end at the very first hurdle. The home side will also be looking to get back to winning ways, following the disappointment of bowing out of the Emirates FA Challenge Cup at Kidsgrove Athletic in midweek, following a goalless draw in Cumbria last weekend. Kick off at Borough Park is 3pm.
