Workington AFC vs Witton Albion

Witton make the long trip to Cumbria on Tuesday night when they travel to struggling Workington in a re arranged Evo-Stik Premier Division fixture, the original fixture being postponed due to the weather earlier in the season. The Cumbrians currently sit second from bottom in the league and were beaten 3-0 by Basford United at the weekend but, had won their previous two games prior to that defeat. Witton go into the game on the back of a much-needed boost from the narrow victory over bottom club North Ferriby United on Saturday, despite a determined effort from the Yorkshire club where one goal proved to be enough. Victory in Cumbria can see Albion climb to halfway in the division but Workington always prove tough opposition and this encounter will be no different. Witton’s away form has generally been very good and it will be need to be again if they are to return home with the right result. Kick off at Borough Park is 7.45pm.
