Great idea WHS, thank you.
Let me know how you get on when you speak to them.

Give their secs a ring they might be up for it in a good cause.
WHS.
Ok, moving on…
We will require some help on the day.
We need 2 “adjudicators” of professional standing. I was hoping the Doc and maybe one of the coppers that are involved with the club?
Also, will need 4 people to help fetch and carry balls on the day (2 stationed in the goal area, 2 on the half way line to “feed” the balls to those taking part).
Will also need 2 timekeepers.
Would also be nice to have a Witton Willy on the day.
I’m sure people can fulfill more than one role if we are shorthanded.
Also the whole thing needs tobe filmed - is there anybody that can assist with this?
If not, i was thinking Mike Carlon could speak to Alex Miller?
Currently liasing with various media channels regarding publicity - more info to follow. But this could be a really positive event for the Club.
Please assist if you can.
Thanks.
Happy to help wherever I’m needed even if that means wearing a Big foam suit
I will help you anyway I can Robbo, it sounds like it’s going to be a good laugh looking forward to it
Cheers guys, it is much appreciated.
:clap
I will have the Sports Relief sponsor forms in the Shop tomorrow night at Half Time if those taking part want to come and get one please.
:goal
Will there be posters or flyers available to put up ? Just so people who aren’t on social media or don’t read the guardian are aware of what’s happening?
Good point…
I’m not very creative, so if anybody can knock any posters up it would be very helpful.
We’ve actually been able to source some new footballs for the Club at a discounted price on the back of this Record Attempt, so there has already been a benefit to the tune of about a £250 saving.
This got some coverage on the five live non league show this morning. You can listen again on the non league show podcast. It’s about 25 mins in.
Hopefully non league paper will also be running a story on it as well as local papers.
Thanks to Andy Simpson for helping us get this national exposure.
Meanwhile, if we’re all finished with the play ground insults, Saturday is the big day.
We have 4 or 5 Wittoners having a go at this on Saturday at half time - i am sure they would appreciate some vocal support.
Thanks to everybody who is either trying their best to become a world record holder or who have offered to help us out on the day. This event, like so many other, is a real team effort - and it couldn’t happen without everybody pitching in.
Whether we break the record or not, i am sure we will all have fun trying. And i know we have already raised a decent amount of money for Sport Relief.
We will be kicking toward the tea hut end - so anybody queueing for a half time pie wil get a great view of the spectacle!
Can i ask that anybody involved or assisting on the day can meet me in the Social Club at 2pm to go through health and safety and logistical issues.
Thanks again to everybody - we’re a great little club at times.
UTA.

Only joking Robbo, great work.
More exposure for our club, Robbo will be talking to Colin Murray on TalkSport this Friday at 1145 to discuss the world record attempt.
No pressure then
When does the money have to be in for sponsorship? Because I have a couple of people who are off work this week, so won’t get theirs until next week
I will pop a donation into the club sometime this week. Well done Robbo for organising this.
WHS. :clap
