Feels like an age since we last played - hopefully the unbeaten run continues.

Sure to be a tough game though, they’re clearly a decent side. But how sweet would it be to put the nomads in their place? See you all there!

Excited for this one hoping for a good game and win for the albs I’m gonna go for a 1-2 away win att 630

Let’s hope the players are a little less apathetic than the forum…

It should be a good game, pitch won’t be great which won’t help us. Hope Barrow is fit now? 4 3 3 for me with

Martin
Koral, Harrison, Hitchcox, Jackson
Haywood, Barrow, Fogerty
Duckworth, Hughes, Rokka

And a strong bench: Igoe, McGee,Williams, Kennerley, Billington.

And it’s no problem if Kennerley plays left back or Williams starts in midfield.

Good luck lads. UTA

The festive period is a very busy time for all football clubs and it is no different at non league level either.

Boxing day usually means lots of local derby fixtures and plently of rivalry mixed in but this year is a momentous one for Witton Albion as they make the very short trip to neighbours 1874 Northwich.

Their paths have crossed in cup competitions in recent years and already this season in the Mid Cheshire District FA Senior Cup, but this is the first-ever league meeting between the two.

The two clubs are separated by one place in the Northern Premier League West Division table with 1874 Northwich currently in tenth place and Albion in eleventh so, a big game lies ahead although the same three points are on offer.

1874 have only suffered two home defeats so far this season whilst Witton are unbeaten in five league games.

Witton have a number of former 1874 players in their squad whilst only Matthew Woolley and Mark Jones amongst the 1874 personnel have played for both clubs.

The chance to lift themselves into the top ten for Witton is motivation enough but the local rivalry adds something extra to the occasion.
