Fair points, but re Stocksbridge their average attendance was 170 last season. Take out FC United and Chorley which were their two biggest gates by a distance and it’s 151. So I guess they needed to do something to attract people. They probably only sell a small number of STs so by doing that they can perhaps sell a few more and make a similar amount.
As for FC, it’s not like you to champion something they’re doing Matt
SPS also doing any 10 league games for £50. Have we thought about a 10 game pass? Some people can’t make every game due to shift patterns and other commitments might be worth thinking about.
Just passing on the message Woody. That’s probably a question for the board.
I think a half season pass covering the home games from 1st Jan would be good and may be a good seller before Christmas, but then you have the issue of postponed games and there being more than half the games after that date.
What might be a good idea is a card that can be used throughout the season but only for ten games or so. It could be stamped at the turnstile each time it is used. I would certainly be interested in something like it as I, like many others cannot make all home games.
WHS.

I thought we always did a half season pass? We always have previously anyway.

We definitely didn’t do one last season. But as with all these things somebody has to plan it and execute it.
offering greatly reduced prices for a 10 game pass would probably hurt revenue not help the club, the idea of season ticket is to get long term commitment for a discount that gives witton money when they are generally struggling, but times are hard and maybe we have to be more creative in our thinking but it has to help the club also. Im in for my season ticket anyhow its good value and supports the club so a no brainer for me !
Maybe not - if people went for a ten game pass instead of a season ticket then you are probably right.
If most season ticket holders are still going for season tickets then the ten game thing would be good for more casual fans who know they can probably get to every other home game as I am guessing one of the big problems is cashflow during ‘freezing weather’ period of the season when bills still have to be paid and no revenue is coming in because of postponed games.
Personally I’ve never been a season ticket holder and never will be because I get too frustrated some games and vow never to come back, but I always do purely because of my love for the club. It will be £9.50 a game for me next season, a bit steep for our level perhaps but we are one of, if not the best club in our league, so an extra 50p is ok with me. And am starting to get the feeling next season will be an awesome one for the mighty WAFC. UTA
If an extra 50p means we are able to continue competing for playoffs the. worth it.
This is a time of great opportunity in our history. For two maybe three seasons we are probably going to be the ONlY club in town. So now more than any other time is good to pay a bit extra to put such a distance between us and any competition that we will always remain the number one club in town.
If we dont achieve this, then in 20 years time we will be looking back at a wasted opportunity.
I think so far the club has got everything right and we are well on the way to being THE mid cheshire club for thirty forty years at least UTA
