League cup round 3( it’s when the big clubs enter the comp). Thoughts?
Would like us to revert to either 442 or 451, and avoid saturdays 4411 formation.
We looked a bit toothless in attack yesterday.
Boring hell, people have the audacity to criticise whs for hijacking topics!!!
F**k the cup off. Distracts from the league
Potty mouth
Prize money is more than for winning the league
Very little pride in winning the tournament, I’d rather have three points. Not sure the gate will even pass 150, very little interest.
The one that SERIOUSLY needs to be reviewed is the MCSC. Either scrap it, or use it as a pre-season tournament.
Personally iam looking forward to a game which can be enjoyed with no pressure for a result, I don’t think any competition should be written off a trophy is a trophy at the end of the day.
Agreed, quite looking forward to it and didnt realise the prize money was so good, so definitely worth trying to win.
Some of these competitions may not be ideal but I think as it stands, Foster misses the Runcorn game through suspension, so that at least is a benefit that he doesnt miss a league game
Well considering most clubs don’t take it seriously could be a great opportunity to make up our shortfall and win a trophy.

Out of interest, what is the prize money?
More than the cost of a nice glass vase…?
Still can’t believe that was the trophy for earning promotion.
If you get that for winning the play-offs, I’m expecting a nice little pint pot for winning this.
It seems Wincham Lane is closed at the Black Greyhound end so anyone coming from that direction has to go to the next turning at Marston and go past the Salt Barge.

Is it on ?? Hasn’t stopped raining so far.
Having spoken to the groundstaff, the pitch is just about playable, but if the rain becomes heavier then the match is doubtful.
I have tried to get a local referee to perform an inspection, but they are either not answering their phones or they are unavailable.
I spoke to the match referee about 15mins ago, and he has set off early from Denton.
Unfortunately, AFC Fylde have already left, as they are picking up several people on the way.
GAME ON
Any news?
1 up at half time, Joe Shaw.
2 - 0, Gardner pen, Fylde down to 10 men.
