Absolutely brilliant, cant stop smiling, good side Spennymoor, played good football but outplayed and outfought today, all the witton players deserve credit and no one shirked responsibility, stars for me were ben harrison and olly james, who were 10 out of 10 and ill give the rest 9 out of 10 on a great day for the albion. lets hope for a good draw in the next round ! wembley wembley were the famous witton albion and were going to wembley. :cheer:
well done brian, mike, nigel and all the mgt team
[strike]£17,250[/strike] £16,500 and still counting!
WOW!! and DOUBLE WOW!! What a superb performance, total commitment from all concerned.
WHS.
Brillant performance everyone of them. The lads did Witton proud.
Now that will silence Spenny website for a little while.
We love you witton.xxx :cheer: :cheer: :cheer:
Super performance against a really good spennymoor side. They had a cracking first 20minutes and then we seemed to settle down. Coops seemed to slip for their goal but then we hit back to get our noses in front. Second half we had the most blatant penalty turned down and they went down the other end and hit the bar. At that point I thought it was going their way. But some brilliant defending and fantastic effort capped by Titch’s goal sees us home.
Nextround - who cares !!
Well done to all the team
in the excitement of the win, i forgot about the awful referee who was overly fussy any contact meant a free kick - mostly against witton, overuse of cards and he of course missed a blatant penalty on matt woods, still didnt spoil my day and STILL SMILING.
Well done to all the Witton team, both players and management. We didn’t play as well as we can today, but we battled for everything, and thoroughly deserved our win.
Please note that the away game against Harrogate RA on the 29th October is now postponed.
superb performance from the players, they put their all into it today and deserve all the applause that echoed around the h4h stadium at the final whistle. this team just gets better and better, their commitment to witton is fantastic and i am proud to be an albion fan tonight. my mom has got to be pritch, mose and the team closely followed by all the backroom staff and volounteers. whoever we get in the next round will surely know they have been in a game when we go marching on. so until mwe are in fa cup action again let’s get to the h4h stadium in the next 3 home games in numbers and cheer the lads on. come on you reds,
Said WE ARE ALBION said WE ARE ALBION!!!
What a win! Well done to everybody today. Absolutely fantastic. The players worked their socks off all afternoon and got their reward! Just a brilliant day for WAFC, I’m proud to be a Wittoner tonight! :cheer:
Superb victory, magnificent effort by all the team from start to finish. Thought we looked a bit nervous early on, but once we had scored we settled and our forwards always had the better of the visitors’ defence. Nailbiting stuff in the second half though after we spurned three great chances, and with the referee declining to give two clear penalties when he must have known they should have been spot kicks. What a relief when the third goal hit the back of the net.
A word about the Spennymoor support. Around 160 fans is a great turnout, and those I spoke to both before and after the game were very friendly and sporting, a credit to themselves and their club.
Witton’s superior fitness was the deciding factor in this end to end typical FA cup tie. Both teams tried to play football and Witton are clearly benefittting from the coaching of the experienced
N Deeley. A little fortunate to go in at half-time 2-1 up thanks to a goalkeeping mistake and a wicked deflection but as the game progressed fitness and willing to work made them worthy winners. Good to see Boothy ( MoM ) back playing again, his enthusiasm for the game has not waned.
Segregating the supporters was not necessary for this game,it would have made for a better atmosphere if supporters had been allowed the freedom of the ground as S’moor were a knowledgeable and decent bunch !
£8.50 & £5.50 is too high for this standard of football !
Let’s hope for another home game in the next round ?
Fantastic day for OUR club.
Every player in red and white grafted and fought for everything and we deserved to win. We did get lucky with the first 2 goals but aren’t we overdue a bit of luck?
Everyone who volunteered and did their bit for their club yesterday deserves great credit for hosting the game and it going without a hitch.
Everyone who turned up and got behind the team yesterday to make sure we weren’t outshouted by the fantastic away support again it all contributes to the end result.
Made up for Pritch and his management team again. I love it when a plan comes together!
UTA
Echo that Chad!
Fantastic day for the club and it’s great to see the players beaming with pride! Roll on tomorrow for the draw. Congratulations to Pritch and the team
What a team, what a management team, what a great set of supporters
Smiling from ear to ear, the players worked so hard and got stuck in, hunted them down and really wanted it.
Best victory in a long long time.
In the Jim Vince era we would have bottled it yesterday going 1 down in a big game.
Full credit to Pritch, Mose, Deeley and Murphy.
Another brilliant performance. The key words are effort, desire, commitment, togetherness. But you have to say there’s some real ability in these side too.
The way the lads work for each other is a joy to watch.
We may not have been at our fluid best yesterday, but we were playing a very good side.
The scenes at the final whistle were amazing. It was fantastic to see the reaction of the players.
Well done to the legends who are currently steering this team to new heights.
Fantastic day again at the H4H Stadium, well done to everyone involved I loved every minute of it… Typical of one man to try and pick faults at what was an amazing day. I’m really enjoying my Sunday morning casting an eye over the results page… will be logging on every 5 mins to the FA website on Monday now … Even Eli can’t cast a shadow over my mood this wonderful day.
