After Whitby pulling two back I thought we showed great strength of character to win the game. Fantastic attendance of 543 too, well done to the people responsible for the ‘Families’ initiative and getting the junior teams in.

Things are looking good for Witton Albion

:clap Great win , not been to the last couple of games due to illness but a witton win always lifts the spirits .

Lovely to see their number 2 score an OG after conceding the free kick and only getting a yellow :clap

Never gave in and deserved the win B)

A really tough game that belies the 4-2 score - we had to dig deep for this result - but we did and we are up there pitching so everything to look forward to. Whitby wre a big physical side with a good number 7 who was at the centre of most of their good play. They may be 3 from bottom but I suspect not for long. This could turn out to be a very valuable 3 points. This is a really good tim eto be a Witton Supporter - a good team, great club and a real spirit about the place that is more than each game.

I really hope we can keep fozzy - even if that means supporters digging deeper to pay his wages. I think he could be that important to us us come May.

Finally well done to all those who did the Families day today. Super gate of 543 and I am sure some will be back !!

Again we should have been out of sight missed chances, overplaying in scoring areas and sloppy mistakes to let them back in but 3 points on the board is great and we did deserve the win but we can be so much better, fair play to Whitby who did there homework and everytime one of our fullbacks attacked they filled the space left and exposed us when we lost possession - which we probably did a little too easily today, not sure about Fallon on the left looks better in the middle and whilst cross is ok he lacks a bit of pace/mobility, really looking forward to shaw and connors back - wow that wil bring some selection headaches for Pritch !!! UTA

Very entertaining game today (especially the own goal - hilarious) we were a far better side than they were and created a lot more but somehow we couldn’t put the game out of sight til the 86th minute. Man of the match for me was again foster… He creates, is calm and i always fancy him to score. UTA

Good win, good 3 points and ever improving attendances. well done to all involved in getting more and more through the door! Onward we go! I don’t wish to appear to be a Jonah here but I didn’t really enjoy the game that much today. I realise that we carn’t play “sexy football” each week with the wow factor and win (refer to e.g.Ilkeston away) but in parts today was a bit borin for me. In truth Whitby wern’t up to much although if they would have took their chances a different story might have unfolded. It turned out a bit of a slog in truth but with Witton in charge. Sorry to be a miserable B. Still, on the positive, in the play off places we are and I hope we stay there? I can still see a Blue Square, the team is certainly good enough to play at that level as is all the essentail ingredients which surround the team. Finally, I hope the young Whitby player that was stretchered off is Ok? Has anyone any news about him? SBL
