Signed for Droylsden.
Agent JV strikes again !
Flaming great JV if you read this…DO ONE and leave our players alone!!! Its bad enough you couldnt take us up without you milking the club of its players!!
Let’s just wait for official confirmation before saying too much…
Its on the the Droylsden forum as being true but as you say Robbo lets wait and see.
I can only sumise that the only players left from last season bar Pritch will be Evans and Kearney as I don’t think they were ever really Jim men.
I can see Thornley and Coo moving on if what we are hearing about Jim’s activities are correct. If they stay then thats a great bonus.
The two signings that Nigel has made seem solid, decent signings we now need to ramp up activity though and even maybe take a chance on a few young lads in the lower divisions of non-league.
Am sure Nigel is doing his best and we will have one or two signings annouced soon. Here’s hoping anyway!
I have never known so much bad news in such a short period of time at a football club!
If Alex has moved on them it is a real shame, especially after the Club paid for his operation last year. I think he owed us another season really.
A couple of weeks ago i heard that he’d shaken hands with Nige on a deal for next season, but obviously never got round to signing it.
Again, if a Club in a higher league come in for you with the offer of more money then can you ever really turn it down? I guess only Pritch knows the answer to that one…
Great shout Robbo, but now we are down to the bare bones, players are jumping ship left right and centre, shouldnt we be updated now concerning the actions behind the scenes by certain parties.
Actions behind the scenes?!? How very cryptic…!!
It all depends on whether we want to once again air our dirty linen in public i suppose?? Would there be any benefit to Our Football Club at this moment in time if we were to start criticising certain actions??
Personally, i’m 100% sure that everything will be revealed at the right time. For the moment i’d prefer to concentrate on what each of us can do to make Nige’s life a little easier.
Any player that wants to leave is going to, regardless of any 3rd party involvement. Why that 3rd party feels the need to get involved at all is a very different matter.
But at least we can rest assured that we have the right man in the dug-out this time around.

Correct Robbo, rather than a spiteful child. Paths always cross again in non-league football and I can’t wait until mine crosses our former managers. If I was near him now, I’d kick his crutches from under him. Egotistical pr**k.
here here greenie. id put the crutch round the back of his head
Regarding Alex Brown’s operation. The club - by that I mean Mike Worthington’s partner - made the initial outlay. The club was then paid back - half from the PFA, of which Alex is a member, and the other half by Alex and his parents ( which I have to say took an awful lot of saving by him).If what you say is correct then Alex has moved for his desire to play at a higher level and NOT for money
I have been on Droylsden’s forum and cannot find any mention of this.

It appears to be the same person that posted the news on here
I have also heard the news from other sources unfortunately
How fickle football supporters can be.It only seems 5 minutes ago when supporters on this forum were begging JV to stay. What goes round comes around and Nigel and his new team will do the Albs proud and show JV just how to win a trophy.
Its great that everyone is so optimistic. I more of a realist myself and personally I think the next season has to be about getting through on the bare minimum of a budget, maybe hopefully two good cup runs in the main cups to generate some money and building for the season after. The likes of Bradford, FC united, Hednesford, Ilkeston, Buxton, etc can just go and sign who they like when they like with their budget we don’t have that luxury. I’d be happy with a midtable performance that shows some promise with the lowest budget possible then have a real bash the season after with the coffers being replenished and when hopefully there will not be big money teams in our league.
I’d hope this would take the pressure off Nige for a while and give him chance to rebuild a team of lads who are 100% behind the club. He already has the fulcrum of this with a certain number 4 who is a shining example to any footballer anywhere and if it wasn’t for his demanding police job would probably be fantastic in a managerial role!!
As for Vince I don’t know what trip he is on now. Thought I knew the guy but for some reason he seems hell bent on trying to rip our great club apart. I was quite prepared to forgive him for failing narrowly over two season but I’m having second thoughts now. If we’d have succeeded we would not be in our present predicament. As for certain players on the way they’ve conducted themselves your a disgrace so don’t expect any politeness from me if you ever play on our ground again for another team! I exempt Macca from this who did things the right way!!
Sorry to be bitter but I’ve watched with some distaste over the last few weeks at our club seemingly breaking up. But the two great things are the way the fans are pulling together and Nige who seems to want to be at Witton and deserves our strong support.
I appreciate the work done by Mark, Graham and others but once we are on a more even keel in maybe 3 months time we really do need to review our longer term strategy and I feel strongly that the Ground move has to become a higher priority in the order of things with hopefully Mike W being persuaded to help with this!
ground move?? Where are they talking about moving too? And when?
Most of us gave massive support to JV. It sickens me that he is behaving in this way if it is indeed true. Lets ensure any of our former players who behaved badly to the club we love get a very warm reception when they return. You know who you are.
I’ve been quiet on this for a while. Frustrated at the goings-on like everyone else.
But please don’t let anyone be surprised at the behaviour of JV and his players. I said at the time, managers and players come and go - only the supporters remain as a constant. When the debate about whether the chairman and/or manager should go was raging, there was a groundswell of opinion for JV as the messiah who would eventually deliver. Well guys, you know who you are - what do you think of the “great” JV now?
Now I think he is a d*ck!
