Good news but Saturday is what really counts.

Failed to make an apperance tonight due to my eldest son failing a late fitness test.

Instead i spent a pleasant couple of hours replacing a perished hose on a Dyson cleaner.

A very rewarding evening all-round.

Who said “Sack the Manager”? Another good result and there have been plenty of them this season so far.
I was reviewing a play at Davenham tonight called “Humble Boy” not about me naturally, but I do recommend it to anyone who fancies a good night out. It is on until Saturday. See you all on the 21st. (I am missing an England Rugby International to see this game which as you all know is something I don’t do normally but this game is a big one for our team so I WILL be there God Willing).
WHS.

I thought it was a very good performance last night , and after talking to a couple of Alty fans who said they had several first team players playing also , this made it more important for Witton to measure themselves . Knowing this I was just hoping for a “good showing” rather than a result.
I thought we looked more dangerous throughout the game apart from last 15 mins of the first half in which they scored through ., and had a couple of good attempts on goal one volley in particular produced a good save by Cleggy.
Second half they came (after the delay) Alty came out of the blocks sharp and were proberbly looking for a quick second goal , but defence looked pretty solid last night. Our equalizer came after this initial pressure, a good run and shot across to the far corner of the net from Peter Heler.
We also looked good coming foward some good confident touches. and it was Witton who were more determined to finish the tie in 90 mins, John McAlinsky had a one on one which the keeper won, and ofcourse even after the penalty miss they kept pressing and looked as if there was a goal to be had. and a great ball in with a McAlinsky HEADER , that the keeper pushed out for Peter Heler to squeeze in . A deserved win and a good performance marker.

Well done Gary and the lads…great result !

What was the full team then ?
