I personally wouldn’t have moved it to evening, think we would have had a bigger gate and more spends at 3pm, but I will be there anyway so UTA
Can I please ask that in any communication of the change of kick off time from 3pm to 7.45pm we make it clear the reasons for the change, namely that there is a major event on at Moss Farm that day (don’t know what it is) and, having consulted the relevant authorities, and with the agreement of NVFC and the NPL, we have agreed to put the kick off back to allow and encourage more people to come to the game. This also afford the players of both teams more time to recover from their respective FA Cup ties two days earlier.
The above is a statement from Mark Harris - Chairman Witton Albion Football Club.
is this a witton decision or has rushe got anything to do with it.he walks around as if he owns the place.
As the statement says, “The decision was taken after consultation with the relevant authorities, NVFC & the League.” Without their agreement I doubt it would’ve happened.
Moving this game could well be the first own goal of the season
Moving this game allows me to attend as I have a family commitment to attend an event for my kids during the day.
This would apply to most bank holidays for me to be honest. When the family get a rare opportunity to spend time together/visit extended family/go out for the day it sounds a bit selfish for me to say that I will be out between 13.30 and 18.00.
Maybe I am the exception but it is not as simple as because it is the evening less will attend?!?
Fantastic! I had planned my whole Bank Holiday around a 3pm kick off!! So the biggest game in 20 years for the fans is put second place to a Strongman contest of the local sted heads!!! Can’t say I am surprised though.
Very strange decision - as others have stated before the gate will be down as well as the bar sales.
We appear to be doing ourselves out of easy money and a great atmosphere and advertisement for non-league football in the town all due to a car boot sale.
Sam Naylor and his rugby mates have got to come first. We must all bow down to that.
Seems a bit funny that Sam’s name has been mentioned on this site a couple of times now by different people as the other thread regarding our possible move from WP gathers pace. Just an observation!
I think a bank holiday evening kickoff is a great idea, we can all go to the sports day at Moss Farm and then kick off our Darby at Help for Heros ground in the evening
Are you any relation to the Dave Dutch Holland who said an evening Kick-off was “crackers” on page 2 of this thread?
Postyred.
What has Rushe got to do with it?
I thought it was Nutalls club?
My work shift pattern has changed and I can now go to the match in the evening.

I’m tempted to go to a Vcs home game to see if that ar***le Rushe is strutting about at the HRH, what a damn disgrace if he is!

Bang on mate.
So a non sporting show 4 miles away is the reason for us moving the biggest game of the season :woohoo:
What next? Our Boxing day fixture moved because ITV 2 are showing The Wizard of Oz at the same time?
Sorry to disappoint but it’s Mary Poppins this year
It is when you work nights so now you’ll miss the game!
I’ll go and see some classic cars instead.
Can’t wait !
UTA?
To everyone banging on about the bar take in the social club, let me worry about that please gents.
I’ve done the sums and if the gate increased by what’s predicted we could leave the social club closed and the club would make more money.
The club will be open all afternoon where you can take advantage of members prices and sample our exciting new matchday menu.
Uta
What attendance is the club predicting for this game?
