Cammell Laird vs Witton Albion, FAT R1

Team News: Manager Paul Ogden implements 3 changes to the starting XI from the midweek League Cup win at Warrington Town for this vital FA Trophy game. Matthew Holt, Peter Heler and Ashley Stott all start, with Scott Moffatt, Danny Griggs and Carl Frost the men who make way. Witton will be looking for a repeat of the Evo-Stik League game at Cammell earlier in the season, although hopefully with more goals for the visitors.

Starting XI: M. Cooper; M. Holt, B. Harrison, I. Kearney, M. Wood; P. Heler, D. Maguire, D. MacPherson, C. Botham; A. Stott, A. Kinsey.

Substitutes: B. Pritchard, L. Pugh, T. Smith.

Good result well done lads, that will give camell lairds the “Hump”

Great, I say in the programme for Wednesday that hopefully we won today but at the time I did not know the result. Having faith in this team seems to pay off most of the time!!

Good news. Thanks for the updates. FC United at home next round? Or the shit (though lets hope they lose their replay).

Well done all ! A few bob in the kitty and into the next round. What more can you ask for on a Saturday afternoon. Two more for Andy Kinsey too !!

When do we find out who we have got?

A couple of surprise results in the league today, also Hannah at Matlock scored 7 in their 10 - 0 win in the Trophy!

Great result, well done Andy, lets hope for more of the same on Wednesday:cheer:

Deserved win against a much depleted Cammell Laird, some of their new players were playing for nothing I was told. They did make a game of it second-half but we held strong at the back and now require a decent draw to progress further. Kinsey took his first goal well when slipped in by a delightful pass fron Botham who had a half decent game. Macca’s penalty would have earned him a gold medal in the diving at the Olympics and was well put away by AK. ( No pace required for either goal  )

FC Utd would do very nicely in the next round :cheer:

It’s never easy against Cammell but we deserved that.
Good effort all round and could have scored more. Their keeper made 2 brilliant saves and their no3 made a miraculous stooping headed clearance from on the line.
Hopefully we get a lucrative draw in the next round.

A home match for next round would be nice, fingers crossed.

A referee who can use a watch would be nice as well!

A brilliant brilliant result well done to all!!! Come on the Albioooooon!
