Chasetown v. Witton Albion

Admission Prices confirmed as follows:

Adults: £10, Concessions: £7, Under 16’s: £2.

Witton make the journey south down the M6 on Saturday afternoon when they travel to Chasetown in a Northern Premier League West Division fixture.

The Scholars have returned home following the redevelopment of their ground, including the installation of a 3g playing surface and floodlights amongst improvements at the stadium.

The last few months have seen them play home games at the home of Boldmere St Michael’s in Sutton Coldfield.

The Scholars have moved from the Northern Premier League Midlands Division where they finished last season in sixth place in the table.

Witton have been going out through a difficult period in recent weeks and results have shown a down-turn but as quick as that happened, things can change just as quickly and they need to.

Injuries haven’t helped but performances haven’t been of the required standard and Jon Macken and his staff will be doing everything to change that.

The two teams haven’t met since the 2016/17 season with Witton completing the double over their opponents on a that occasion.

Chasetown have found themselves sitting comfortably in the table going into the game, and will be looking to continue a run that has seen them lose only twice at home so far.

Witton will be looking to improve on recent results and get themselves going in the right direction up the table but, it is another tough challenge which faces them.

Kick off at The Scholars Ground is 3pm.

Scorer of Witton’s second goal on 77 minutes now confirmed as Matt Lowton - his second goal in successive games.

Didn’t deserve to get beat, a good performance but conceding goals at the rate we are we are not going to win games.

To get back level at two all then within a minute we are behind is criminal.

The officials give us nothing and were poor but that’s no surprise.

Thought Rokka and Fogerty were excellent.

I didn’t go. I expected a defeat away from home but there was always the chance of a reaction from Tuesday night.

Sounds like we gave it a go but it will take a massive effort to turn this around now.
