Sutton Coldfield Town at home in the next round.
Apologies for the error in the subject heading!
Terrific. Well done lads. Sounds like a job well done.
Good to bank some prize money too.
And nice to have a tie against a team from outside our usual circles in the next round.
Great result, well done to all.
Also a good result for us at Goole, where Rushall lost 4 - 0, which means we remain top of the table.
This was a very solid performance against a team top of Unibond North, so its puts our recent run of form into a good perspective. We never really looked like losing, although 1-0 for long periods and with chances coming and going you never know ! But the 2nd goal settled it and we never looked back.
Overall it could have been 3 or 4 with Brad missing an easier chance than the one he scored for his 2nd goal
Must have been circa 80 Witton fans there too to watch Gary put one over on his old club. Lets hope more start to return to the fold at WP.
Well done all absolutely brilliant result!!! I thought we would be up against it there and would have been happy with a draw/replay!! Come on the ALBIOOOON!!
Again moaners from Tuesday, you know who you are, TAKE NOTE!!!
Toally agree Knutsfordian.
MoM Brad Maylett. Also a mention for Lee Neville who is improving all the time.
good game nice to see some familiar faces, and a brilliant result for us.Up the Albion
Congrats
Witton well worth the win today, better than us all over the park and our general consensus was we were lucky to get away with 2.

Nice comments aowens, had a great day at your place hope rob hopleys injury isn’t abad one and he’s back playing for you next game. Good display today, our defense was outstanding, couldn’t decide mom between neville and Dylan although pritch and rudd also
didn’t put a foot wrong in my opinion. Great attendance aswell. The new assistant/physio looks like a good addition keeping the players fit and warming down after the game etc…Is it too early to be singin wemberrrleey wemberrlleey? Yes is the answer but that didn’t stop us today! Bring on tuesday
Well done aowens - pity your manager doesn’t feel the same. No sour garpes here then…

Well done everyone - Wemberley, Wemberley, Wemberley …
Well done Gary and the Lads. An excellent team performance and a great result.
Agree with Brad as MOM and with Lee improving game by game.
Paul Henry and Steve Hall are proving effective and Steve Foster never stops working.
Colwyn only had long throws as any threat. In Joe Clegg we have a very good keeper and the confidence he inspires works its way through the team.
Hopefully the stayaways start to drift back to join the real Wittoners.
Up The Albion!
There was a little “multiball” creeping in during the second half but not too much.
Cheers for the post aowens, your club is always extremely hospitable and makes for an enjoyable away day. Let’s hope we meet more regularly in a higher division soon!
I thought every Witton player gave lots of effort today, we played as a team, closed down well, defended in numbers and overall looked like we had the appetite to win. It was a very good overall performance against a side who are clearly a good test (their league position and the clubs below them shows this)!
The injury to Hopley appeared to be bad, although when their physion walked around the ground he didn’t seem to think so. Hall is certainly not a dirty player and the lack of reaction from other Bay players I think showed that they did not for a minute think that it was ever intended to injure the player. I actually thought Hall did extremely well after been warned to cool down by the referee and I personally think he was man of the match, definitely the strongest in midfield.
Both Pritch and Rudd hardly put a foot wrong and their communication could be heard at the other end of the ground. Lee Neville has taken to left back and did very well both tackling back and with his forward distribution. Maylett finished both goals well, especially keeping is head to slot home the second, ironically the first chance of the game that he missed was probably the easiest of the three!
I thought we would be in for a harder game against Colwyn but to be fair I think this was a lot to do with our approach on the day and how hard we worked. If you work has hard as we did as a team then you deserve to win games. Remember we too were without one of our strikers!
Great away attendance as well, let’s see plenty at Chasetown on Tuesday night!
Today was as good as it gets.
Every player contributed to a very professional like win.Even big John Yates never put a foot wrong.
Brads second goal would grace any football match, even Old Trafford.
Joe made an excellent save late on to ensure that we kept them at arms length.
The loanee forward from Tranmere, whilst he looked very impressive never caused us any real harm.
I was stood behind the dug-out for the second half and when the final whistle was blown,Gary certainly enjoyed his moment and deservedly so.
Gracious in defeat Mr Owens the sign of a gentleman.
Just like to thank Dave for the lift to the station, it was greatly appreciated by Tony and me. Result was excellent and the perfomance augurs well for the future. The team was solid from back to front and never looked like losing. See, I do come to some games!!!
