Ben Thornley has signed for Stocksbridge Park Steels.

Former Albion forward Kevin Sanasy has joined FC Halifax Town.

Former Albion defender Gary Furnival is now playing for Woodley Sports, he scored their equaliser at Prescot Cables yesterday.

Tony Barras is now playing for Stalybridge Celtic.

Neil Black has left Marine and joined Colwyn Bay for the 3rd time.

Rob Lloyd has signed for New Mills FC & Cavell Coo is at Abbey Hey FC.

A shame to see Rob Lloyd languishing at that level. He’s probably not bothered now but I fear that one day, when it’s too late,he’ll look back and wonder what might have been.

A bit surprised to see Cavell Coo at that level too. I thought he was a decent player for us if a bit erratic.

Any specific reason for Rob and Cav to be playing at that level?

Rob left the bloods to go to Uni, as far as I can make out.

Oh right, I remember when he was at Witton there was speculation that he might give up football. So its good to see he’s still playing, be it at a lower level. However Cavell Coo, was decent player at Unibond Premier level from what I can remember.

I would hazard a gues that 75% or more of the players who were once at Witton regret leaving, no matter what the reason. Few clubs cherish their players a this cliub does.
WHS.

True WHS however I have witnessed players making their debut regaled with such comments as "he’ll be no bl**y good he’s too small/big/slow/running around like a headless chicken! And wasn’t it a certain Mr Coathup who said it was best to avoid the “far” side if possible? lol

Plenty of fools I’ll give you that but we always paid their wages and we never stood in anybody’s way when bigger clubs came calling.

Cavell Coo played for Curzon in their win at Ashton Utd last night.

Choo Who ?

Non League paper, “Heartbreak at the Shay” NO not when Jim Vincio was appointed, but Mark Peers injured in the warm up, and the Vincioshaymen lost in the FA cup!
