Former Players

Steve who ?

great player, strange move

A move based on cash, nothing else. Players who drop leagues for more money are only playing for one thing!

Reasonable player but not great, truth is we need a better stronger alternative to boss the midfield, so maybe his departure in a strange way does us a favour by clearing the way for someone new!

Steve Hall seems totally infuenced by former player Rob Lloyd.

It was Rob who recommended Steve to us pre-season.

Rob was rumoured to be also re-joining us a month or so ago. However, Rob decided to join New Mills for a lot more money than we could afford.

Possibly, Rob has pursuaded Steve to do the same.

Steve never had the decency to inform the manager of his intentions…he just failed to turn up for training last Thursday.

Very disappointed with him doing this. I after his first few games likened him to the great John “Chalky” White, box to box, tenacious in the challenge, worked himself into goal scoring positions etc etc.

New Mills eh? - also runs to Newcastle Town, might get promoted eventually so money might well talk in the end.

Noticed also that Ross Thaker has moved back down the ladder again, from Alty to Winsford Utd!

AS with most players who leave Witton he will regret it, especially moving down leagues. But to be honest anyone who hasn’t the decency to say he is leaving is not worth worrying about, obviously has no “bottle”.
WHS.

Rob Lloyd graced Wincham Park again on Tuesday as he was instrumental in New Mills’ 4-0 victory over Runcorn Linnets. He made the first (with a complete mishit that fell to the feet of Mills’ hotshot Carlos Meakin) and scored a sublime curler to make it 3-0. Runcorn were awful.

Elsewhere Dorryl Proffitt scored in Buxton’s exit from some Cup or other on Tuesday.

You could always bank on Lloyd.

There was a piece written in The League Paper two weeks ago by Tony Cottee, stating that Nicky Maynard should be given a chance in The Premier League. He claims that Nicky will always score goals and that by having Premier League players around him, will enable him to score even more goals.

High praise indeed from a player who could score goals.

Dean Crowe has signed for Leek Town.

Amongst the goals on Saturday - Melford Knight, Ben Jones, Chris Gaghan & Gary Furnival.

That rules them out of the promotion race then, I hope he plays on New Year’s Day.

John Lawless has signed for Formby FC.

John who ?

Gary Burke (slower than a Morris Minor without an engine) has signed for New Mills and came on as a sub in their defeat in the latter stages of the F A Vase last Saturday. He made an impact then.

Ross Thacker is registered with Cranford Rangers FC in the Mid-Cheshire Sunday League.

Ross who?

Adam Warlow netted again for those f*kin cods, and sits atop the BSN scorers list.

GO ON THEN…ADAM WHO…

Dean Crowe scored for Leek Town yesterday as they beat Willenhall 5-1.

FIVE ONE, AND EVEN DEAN CROWE SCORED!!

:woohoo:

A classic chant from the past

John Lawless scored a hat-trick for Formby a couple of weeks ago when they beat Winsford 5-1… If you think life in the Unibond Division 1 South is bad, just think about us stuck in a relegation fight in the Vodkat Premier :frowning:
