Former Witton Albion Manager Carl Macauley is to join Steve McNulty as assistant at Northern Premier League West Division Bootle FC.

That really surprises me! Donā€™t see Carl as an assistant but good luck unless they are playing us. UTA

Good luck to them both, except when we play them of course.

Will be interesting to see how many former Witton players they try to recruit from other clubs.

Itā€™s very pleasing to see former Albion midfielder Will Booth playing again after a terrible time with injuries. Will scored twice for Sandbach United on Tuesday night.

Striker James Hooper is to leave Workington AFC after only joining the Cumbrian side in July.

It is believed he has received an offer from a club closer to his Manchester home.

Happy Birthday to one of my favourite all-time Witton Albion players and a great personal friend, Les Milner who has reached the age of 70 today.
