Former Players

Top post Robbo (yet again). Lets all move on.

Onwards and Upwards

I can’t agree more. Save your vitriol for when they return with their new clubs :pinch:

Totally agree, lets move on and focus on the new players Nige is bringing in.

Totally agree with all that, especially help with the ground, I have some spare time during the day next week, if someone from the club wishes to contact me on 0775 244 7906 I would hope to come down and “do” a bit

Just watching 8 out of 10 cats and John Bishop is one of the panelists

Liam Brownhill has today signed for Droylsden. I imagine he will confirm this with a farewell post on here later.

Just seen a thread on their forum too

Liam who ?

Had seen this on the Droylsden forum earlier.

That’s quite a little band of ex-Witton players they have got there now…it worked for BPA i guess!!

Kyle Wilson has signed for FCUM who have also signed ex V*cs and Alty’s Carlos Roca

Tom Spearitt to Cammell Lairds. Good luck Tom.

Yeah good luck TS. I know he would have loved a return to WP, but with the players Nige is looking at he could have found his chances limited again…

That sounds promising…I was planning on going to watch training on Tuesday, but got put off by the weather. Wish I had gone now.

Good luck Tom, I know you and your dad still have a soft spot for Witton.

Just because I’m bored I found these
Fellow new boys Jefferson Louis and Shaun Whalley each scored either side of Wrexham’s Levi Mackin’s red card. From Wrexham site

Not sure about Coo. Looks a little lightweight.

Their goal was our goalie error allowing the ball to bounce off his chest. from the Droylsden site attendance 411. Now that is the big time!!!

And they had something to celebrate on 27 when Sheldon struck for goal from the left of the area, Wright followed in the rebound when Kennedy failed to collect and Cavell Coo couldn’t stop the ball going in off his legs (1-0)
Then, Kennedy had to be quick off his mark to prevent Steve Halford’s very strong angled back pass not going straight into his own goal on 34.
A rare attack came from the home side on 37 and ended when Alex Brown took the ball too far (and out of play) before cutting it back into the box after a searching pass from Kevin Townson.

Does sound like a massive game at the Butcher’s Arms, proper pub football! Of the 411 there I bet Tamworth took at least 100 to 150, they are one of the better supported sides in the BSN.

Also interesting to see that it rained on Fleetwood’s parade, game off due to waterlogged pitch (be interesting when they get to the weather in Jan and Feb)!

And from the Woking v Altrincham game in front of 1600+

Danylyk became Alty’s eighth debutant of the day as he replaced Street in central midfield (77 mins). The young midfielder soon made a good impression with some timely tackling.

Alty went on to win 2-1 the first time they have beat Woking in several seasons…

The Cods got battered  4-1 at Farsley last night. Shame. Warlow and Peers both played.

An easy goal by Nicky Maynard for Bristol City.I see he has lost his locks and baby looks.Has he joined the hard guy brigade ??:

See Brownhill and Brown were warming the Droylsden bench again, maybe they should come back to Witton on loan, Im sure they would get a warm welcome.

That’s the glamour of Blue Square North for you!!! I see Fleetwood conceded their 9th goal of the week and second defeat!!!

Not to mention a 0-3 home defeat over the hills against the massive Bamber Bridge!!!

Or the fact that there is a familiar look to the bottom of the Conference table (after 1 point from 9).

Oh what highs and lows this great game provides!!!

Nice to see Nicky Maynard and Shaun Whalley score on their debut’s for Bristol City and Wrexham respectively.
