As a matter of interest I happened to see the Blackpool Gazette, the Secretary of Fleetwood commented that the people who turned up at Wincham Park were not Fleetwood supporters but Blackpool supporters out for some trouble. He also says that the Fleetwood chairman was at the match but didn’t recognise any of the yobs… now that is a surprise!
As stated earlier, one of the Fleetwood fans at the game was spotted last season when we played them in the cup. He was very drunk that day too!
If they aren’t Fleetwood fans, then what possible reason would they have for diverting their Worksop-bound coach to the Witton v Gateshead game?! And why spend 45 minutes singing Fleetwood songs?!
I think their Chairman needs to accept that they were indeed Fleetwood fans :-[
He was also in the bar at Fleetwood last year.

i would like to say that as a born and bred fleetwood lass and i am very proud to call myself a cod head and yes u r tarring us with the same brush and we are not all tossers however unfortunately unlike most towns we do have a higher then national average amount of idiots living in such a small town and sometimes that bad elements does get it’s day release and cause trouble for the actually very good citizens of the wood. So your are wrong to say we are all like it and yea i am female and yes i can comment on football before u start haha sorry fleetwood in me haha…
We are quite happy to accept that there is only a small minority of idiots in Fleetwood - there is a much larger quota in Northwich to be honest (we like to refer to them as Vics fans though)
well i just wanted to get my point across that we are not all out for a scrap and don’t carry knifes however u out there preceive us some of us do like a good game of footie

Fact is the fleetwood fans who turned on the the coach were looking for trouble. I over heard several of them on their phones trying to arrange fights. One Cod head said "its s!"£ here no one is up for it" .
