Gateshead v Witton

Can not wait for the game. It will be a very tough match and looks like a large number of witton fans are making the trip. See you there:)

Any thoughts.

If we can win then i really think the title is in sight and we are in the final stretch:)

What a season, but it ain’t finished yet.

Can I just urge all Wittoners to wear some form of yellow clothing on Weds to the game. Lets make it a sea of yellow at Gateshead and as many yellow Witton tops as possible.

YELLOWS,YELLOWS!

Yellow army indeed.

Can we take the drum too and any airhorns lying around and the flag?

If we can win this one it is certainly in sight - won’t be a disaster if we don’t but it will be a huge step towards it.

If anyone available for updates - I believe Wheels is having computer difficulties pls let me know.

The Drum will be their:)

Ziga Zaga Ziga Zaga…

Ok great occasion but one step at a time please.

Lots of big games to come and all as important as each other.

For all those going - Support the guys every kick of the game. A repeat of Saturday’s support would be a real disappointment.

Knutsfordian, if the support on Saturday was such a disappointment, may I suggest that you stand behind the goal and start the singing off, we’d all be happy to join in with you. There seems to have been a few people both on the forum and behind the goal on a match day that are quick to complain if the atmosphere isn’t that great and will ask others to start songs off but seldom do it themselves. If more people started songs and joined in then the atmosphere would be great at every game. End of rant

Sorry Greg I’m with Knutsfordian on this one.

Sometimes you (the collective behind the goal ‘you’) need to play the role by doing your bit.

Jim & Nige coach the team to perform…
The players perform and get the results…
The Board (& supporters) pay the players…

So the younger ones need to start their own songs etc - not wait for the older ones to kick-start them. ‘You’ all didn’t need any leading at Stamford last season or at Stocksbridge this season for examples and whilst it has been considered to rename behind the goals ‘The Library Ends’ at Wincham Park - if it can be done at those two aforementioned grounds [and as ‘you’ did versus Buxton at Xmas] it can be done more often. Not too much to ask?

My rant endeth.

My point was maybe not as clear as it should have been. On Saturday on at least 4 or 5 occasions, songs were started and 3 or 4 people joined in. People give up after a few attempts if others can’t be bothered. If fans were as quick to join in and create an atmosphere instead of complaining about it on here then there would be no discussion to be had!

“The younger ones need to start their own songs etc” Andy Chad is certainly not young but he starts songs off etc!!!

I’m with u on this one Greg. We should all be standing together at Gateshead so there is no excuse for not joining in the singing just like we did last season. I think the " beer " helps,it revs up the cheerleaders and thats why we get a better atmosphere at away games.

I think I have heard one board member singing on the terraces.

My final word on the support from the terraces…

Some of the guys behind the goal seem to want to prove a point - only they know what that is. The result is that the atmosphere is sometimes dire and that communicates itself to the team on the pitch. If we want to win this league we need to ALL get behind the team ALL the time

Rant over

Gutted i can’t go tommorow night, devastated to be honest…

For those who are going enjoy it and get behind the lads. i went last year and it was a great day out. We will get a result this time i am sure.

COME ON WITTEEERRRNNNNNN!!!

I’ll be glued to my laptop, so let’s make sure updates on here come in fast and furious:)

I try not to take anything personal Knutsfordian but what do you mean by “some of the guys behind the goal seem to want to prove a point”?
Look forward to hearing you loud and proud at Gateshead and then at the next home game.

Not a good day for travelling in a double decker - safe journey guys.

Save a seat for the points you’ll be bring home! Come on Witton

have heard its open top as well

looking at the forecast, it’s given 25mph winds for throughout the game, this should be fine. Think it was worse for the Buxton home game!

“Some of the guys behind the goal seem to want to prove a point”

Am quite curious about what this point is myself?!

At the end of the day, unless a few more people are prepared to make their way behind goal and JOIN IN with the singing, then the only other thing that us 6 or 7 who actually make the effort can do to improve things is to sing louder! Sooner or later we’re going to reach saturation point!

2 seasons ago we were getting 200 odd watching us, on Saturday there were 450. It’s still just the same few people singing though, and the fact is WE NEED SOME HELP!

So rather than post on here, and begin to create a bad atmosphere, can i suggest that more people start/join-in with the singing and then we’ll all have a better time on a Saturday!

I will be here, on line, coughing my heart out and desperate for news, hopefully news that Witton have won.
COME ON THE ALBS!!!
