I’ve been reading on the Website that it looks like were going to have new tenants from next season, absolutely delighted with this news as now the extra income means no more talk of spending cuts etc and should mean more money to spend on the team.
I know who the tenants will be but as stated on the Website we cant say anything till all the legal stuffs sorted but its great news for all concerned and hopefully gives Witton Albion a steadier future.
UTA
As long as they pay the bill !
spurs might need a new home next season. might have to open the other tea bar if they came to Wincham Park
Was asked the question last night at 7s, is this the time for there to be only one Northwich/Witton team? For us all to join forces to become one club, I wasn’t sure… But the rest seemed convinced?
If it happened I for one would stop going, I am a “Wittoner” and as far as football is concerned nothing else. I will watch Witton whenever I can in whatever league they are in but I would not watch “Vale Royal Rovers” or whatever even if they were in the Premier League. Sorry.

For companies and prospective new customers at work we use a tool called Riskdisk Monitoring.
I have just checked and it rates NVFC 2007 as a score of 10/10 with a comment of MAXIMUM RISK and suggests a credit limit of £0!
But what do I know.
It may be necessary from the clubs pov and I understand the finances of groundsharing, but my fear is that we could eventually be swallowed up and can see a day when we ‘do a deal’ maybe even a forced sale to sell or share half the ground to NVFC. On a positive note it may well split the support base of the various green shirted teams even further.
There is no way on this earth that we should (or ANYONE should) consider having anything to do with the wretched Flixton dwellers!! 1874 possibly, any other club probably, but THEM…NO!! We would do the whole of football a great disservice if we let THEM groundshare!!! :red
Don’t even go there with 1874 those bunch of clowns! They are not football fans, how can you stop supporting a team, and then start supporting another? If that was the case for real football fans we would all have supported Man Utd and now support Chelsea!
It’s not ideal but unfortunately money is needed and this must be the last option?
They will be paying in advance and bloody hell we need the money MM so bring it on, it will improve our finances which in time means strengthening the squad
I have missed having the 'Enemy ’ around in a strange way and like Andy says it will be interesting to see what happens to the 1874 support IF Vics are playing back in town
IMO we really don’t need them @ WP some people have very short memories as to what they were like the last time they ground shared.
Correct me if I’m wrong but I’m sure that I was at an information evening a couple of seasons back and The question of ground share was raised and the response form Mark was that before any ground share was put into place it would first be put the shareholders if this was the case? bring it on!
Is there not an outstanding debt to pay first from the last time they were at ours? I would want that up front as well. We are not in a position to refuse any cash injection surely???
2012 Northwich are getting a bit hot under the collar about this ! Accusing us of being stupid, unethical, desperate etc etc we would be better of with them was one comment ! ! ! I don’t think they realise that they were approached but did not want to pay the going rate for WP a ground that could satisfy grading for the future ( from what I was told ) preferring to stay in Winsord at the dump that is Barton Stadium I personally would stop watching if that was the only option - awful ground ! I wonder have they not been told of the option ! I thought all the fans owned it !
Any way any deal that may get constructed will always guard Wittons interest first eg a bond and or payment upfront and I doubt this will ever turn into a partnership but just a tenant agreement, where the money comes from is not our concern but VxxS.
I think 2012 Northwich will regret not being bolder because it could have led to a return to the town and may have been the start of them finding a permanent home eventually- there loss not ours We are simply doing what we have to pay the bills and or grow which We have always done.
The rumours are that Rushe has taken a back seat at VxxS if true that would take some of the sting out of them groundsharing- some 2012 Northwich fans and neutrals may return to watch them if they are back in the area.
I would rather we didn’t have to share but if we need to then so be it we have to trust the board.

Just having a read through the last time this situation was discussed, amazing how opinions change when needs must ha ha
V**s - Reluctantly
1874 - NEVER.
Why not 1**4 Robbo, I don’t bother too much about them - they are a new club with a silly name that bears no relationship to the club itself that date belongs with the club called “Northwich Vics” when it’s gone it’s gone ! Of course inviting a potential threat back into the town may be an issue but as long as we remain the owner and landlord we should keep the upper hand which is how I want us to remain. Still it looks like it could be the original slimy greens here next Season not the new lot.
The thought of that scumbag Rushe swaggering about at our ground again makes me sick! That so-and-so left so many local businesses out of pocket with his CVA of which he paid bugger all then said “oh we are 2007 now” AND GOT AWAY WITH IT!
1874 are a fan run club and as such will not go over budget, maybe that is why they couldn’t stretch to a share with us. Surely fan ownership on a sustainable basis is preferable to the likes of Rushe, Vaughan at Chester and those at Hereford, Banbury and the likes.
Also how on earth can the Flixtonites afford a share at ours, have you seen the crowds they have been getting? Whatever Rushe says should be taken with a massive pinch of something, and I’m certainly not talking salt here.
We might be struggling at Witton but by god to invite poison like Rushe and his band of men into our midst may be deeply deeply regretted medium to long term!
Sorry, I would rather see us playing as an amateur club than have anything to do with any form of Vics. There are probably other clubs who would be happy to ground-share with us, if not then we have to cut our cloth to suit our clothes not go helping Vics get back into Town.
WHS.
If vics do ground share then i for one would consider not going to watch witton anymore. it would be unethical for us to agree to this, given rushes track record. this coming aftr the tuck affair could be the last straw for some witton fans.

I was disappointed to read your comment regarding the Barton Stadium.
The discussion you are involved in is about the usage of your ground, not Winsford’s.
I am sorry that you do not like the ground and remind you that you are under no obligation to frequent it, even if we meet in the Mid Cheshire Senior Cup.
For your information, The Barton Stadium holds the ground grade E, which allows it’s usage in the Evo-stik division 1 (a league that you may well be playing in next season if your results do not improve) and passed it’s most recent inspection.
If the opportunity / money was available for a major refurbishment or indeed a brand new ground, it may well be taken, but we can not all rely on a supermarket supplying the capital for this.
I’m pleased that you like the stadium that Witton play in and hope that it is maintained to your satisfaction (do you help with this?). Imagine if it became ‘a dump’, you would abandon your team!! (Or only watch them at away games!).
I cannot believe that we are even contemplating breathing life back into the corpses that are Northwich Victoria and 1874 Northwich. They have no home and consequently no future, are we really considering giving either of them one? Short term gain, long term loss. We are the only senior team in the area and as such get the larger gates, do you really think that will continue if we allow either club to play here? NO, NO, a thousand times NO, I will cease to give my support to the club if Vics in any form are allowed to share our ground. Any other club, fine.
