You’d better hope you turn your season round pretty quick, and NV don’t drag themselves into a promotion spot, otherwise you’ll be giving way on fixture clashes. We’r having to go to Bishop Auckland on a Sunday because Darlington (their tenants) are at home the same day and in a higher league and (to quote the Bishop A website) “As Darlington have priority due to being in a higher division …”
Hope you like Sunday football.
… always assuming of course that you do do a deal with them.

Are you one of the last few V*cs or one of the plastic ones?
The clue’s in the name, and in the use of “them” and “we”.
And I was only pointing out a groundshare fact, no harm intended. It was something I hadn’t believed till someone pointed it out to me. Can’t say I agree with it though - I think tenants should always take precedence.
I was thinking of taking a look at the kronenborg 1874 forum but I didn’t bother coz I thought if it was any good they wouldn’t be spending their sad lives on ours!
Don’t think you’re doing the NWCL any credit with your post. It’s a fantastic league and the quality is a lot better than you think. There is also a chance we could be in same league next season the way things are going, as well as averaging higher gates despite playing two leagues lower away from the town. So what is Sunday League or Dog and Duck about that?
I guess it looks like Sunday league level when you have a fair few Sunday league players in your team, I know I have seen them play in it ! I also dont think you will be promoted it will be one of Glossop or Runcorn but you might challenge, Vics will also not be promoted too many good teams above them- we may well be relegated but with a potential groundshare money in from Vics and another potential windfall on the way We will clear our small amount of manageable debt and will return to the Prem which is just about our level or possibly the conference north, the NWCFL is not a “fantastic league” it’s a pretty low standard which is why you are climbing it.
Well done on your current gates but as a new toy and you doing well so far crowds will be interested but after the paint has worn a bit thin and you have a little struggle or two then gates will drop, when we get out of our current rut and startbto compete then our gates will inevitably rise with success, so don’t be too cocky just yet !
I think we’ll just miss out this season as well but no shame in that when you have teams of the quality of Glossop and Runcorn Linnets in the league. A top three finish would be a great achievement in only our second ever season in my view. I only want us to get promoted when we’re ready. No point going up too quickly and potentially having a struggling team attracting lower crowds. We will get to our natural level in time with the same hard work both on and off the pitch which is clearly evident currently.
When I said the NWCL is a ‘fantastic’ league, I was referring to the fans and clubs in it more. Having said that, there are some very good teams in the league. I’ve enjoyed every minute of visiting new grounds and friendly, honest clubs.
You should come down and watch us some time. You may be impressed.
Anyway, I think this thread may have run its course
Okay, I know I said I wouldn’t comment again until we had some official news but I have to say this. We might be better off financially in the short term if we ground-share with either of the Northwich teams but to do so would be simply stupid. Neither version can come back to Northwich unless we let them, if they stay outside Northwich one or both will die out in a season or two. Who will gain then?
WHS.
WHS. my last comment, 1874 will not die out whether they are in Northwich or WInsford, but they don’t want to pay the going rate for Wincham Park so forget them, VIcs if they can afford it will only be a tenant if they can pay the money required and upfront, they will not attract big gates even back in Northwich and in the short term will not be a threat ! In the medium term I strongly suspect they Will run out of money and or backers and go bust there model cannot be sustained, so in essence take Vics money until they go bust and use it to enhance Witton financially I would use it 50/50 to enhance the budget and pay down debt but trust our board to do the right thing.
Ha Ha we set a price you paid it how did we screw you its the Market rate, if you had paid your bill and been decent tenants you might still been here and 1874 would not exist, would be interested to see how your gonna get out of your winding up order in order to enter a groundshare, Vics are being wound up and Rushe is Bankrupt !
Vics is the better financial option in the long term, 2012 just can’t compete with us.
Don’t see why some Witton fans are being so restrictive, you screwed us financially once before, so why not again.
1st sentence “better financial option” Unbelievably blinkered. Especially after today’s news from HMRC.
2nd sentence illustrates the unofficial motto of NVFC “Culpa semper aliorum est”
